Usually there's a traffic jam around that garage at 3am on a sunday morning, all the kerb crawlers will think there's a live sex show taking place on the forecourt tomorrow afternoon.

FYI -
BUMPER TO BUMPER AS BETFAIR BEAT’S BUDGET BLUES 2.30pm, Monday 6th December 2010 BETFAIR, the world’s biggest betting community, grabbed the attention of the Irish public today with a pre-Budget offer that saw motorists flock to the nearest filling station to Dail Eireann (see attached pictures). With Budget 2011 set to deliver a harsh message to the country as a whole on Tuesday, including a potentially significant hike in the price of petrol, Betfair eased the Budget Blues for some by giving away €50 of free petrol or diesel at the Maxol Service Station on Mespil Road, Dublin 4, between 10am and 12 noon today. Betfair Spokesman Barry Orr commented: “We expected a positive response from the public but could never have anticipated the buzz it would generate or the numbers that we saw descend on Mespil Road. Everybody seemed to know about it, whether from the media, online, work colleagues, friends or literally seeing the branding whilst driving by.” “Although cars were bumper to bumper, the Traffic Corp managed the excess traffic well and people were very appreciative of the offer. We ended up filling over 125 vehicles in the two hour period so we’re delighted to have sent those people home to face the implications of Budget 2011 with a tonic in their tank and a smile on their faces’’. |
