Sinn Fein's Maurice Quinlivan was the injured party in O'Dea's personal allegation but the Green Party called for O'Dea's head not SF.
Re the Donegal by-election Labour and FG legal representatives advised both parties separately that going to court had no chance and it was and if the judge found in favour of FF there would be no by election during this term. Sinn Fein either received different legal opinion or ignored it. They seem to have got the judge on a good day and he often would not rule in favour of them.
if they get a result similar 2002 they have done well. Labour and Gilmore's popularity should leave SF dead in the water as they will very much be the left wing party of choice.

Hopefully this can at last be the time when the Irish people can shake the sh1t of FF off their electoral shoes for good and all.

The poll is probably just propaganda but all the same it is probably close enough to the mark. No question there will be fist fights during the hustings for the election such is the hatred for the Governmnent

i live in wicklow town and to see the wannabe ff councillors over the last few years would disgust you , it would be fantastic to see them squirm as they had no interest only to tie themselves 4/5 yrs ago to what they thought would be the mast.
Every single one of them regret their wannabe political ideals now , i can tell you, and i cannot wait to tell them that!

In the locals last time out we had nepotism galore. Daughter of ex FF got in. a complete joke.
an ind/ff got in as well who i used to go to secondary with and no joke, he literally struggled to read and now he is a town counciler
