Shelbourne Park greyhound stadium has confirmed that they will not run this evening.

A decision will be made about Thursday night after weather forecasts and inspection tomorrow morning.

"The track is raceable but given the hazardous road conditions being experienced in Leinster, the decision was made to cancel this evening’s racing," said a statement.

Kilkenny have also been forced to cancel tonight’s meet.

Galway greyhound stadium, Mullingar greyhound stadium and Enniscorthy have also fallen foul to the weather conditions with racing cancelled for tomorrow night.

Lifford have cancelled their meeting on Friday December 3, it was also announced.

Each venue will decide daily after morning inspections and a team meeting on whether to race.

The latest updates, and information on re-scheduled meetings, can be found on www.igb.ie or 1890 269 969.

They said they expect to race at SPK tomorrow night Plain they had a meeting at 12 today about tonight, why i don't know it was obvious you couldn't race. They have the track covered but had to get extra help to get the snow off the covers to even get to the track. They seem afraid of their lives to call a meeting off more than likely as they don't want to lose out on the Christmas parties etc... that are booked in. Dogs welfare comes 1st!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They may race, they claim the track is raceable so depends on the weather and how safe the surrounding areas are, and if trainers can get there or not.
SPK are clearing the snow off the covers today and going to take them up tomorrow and said they want ravcing to go ahead

i'd say its impossible for trainers to make it to the track atm .

One of the best cards of the yar at Harolds Cross and I would say that the track is definitely raceable this evening.

Hugely disappointing.

The main problem with HRX calling it off is they told English trainers it was ON last night. One of the trainers got the ferry over this morning with his dogs and when getting off the ferry was told it was OFF. Another Lee Giftkins got the plane over and was told it was OFF on arrival. You can not treat trainers and owners like this Plain
