Croke Park is a NATIONAL stadium, not a Leinster stadium as such. The reason it was played there was because of an expected 80,000 attendance - which can't be bad.

What's with the capitals - run of losers I'd say[;)].

Anyway, what's it to you where the GAA play their matches? Go off and find something worthwhile or vaguely important to worry about.

Are you being deliberately stupid? I really hope so.[:(]. As I said before - what the f*ck is it to you where they play their matches??

I'm not from Ulster but they can play their final on Rathlin Island, Croke Park, Thurles, Clones, Stormont or wherever as long its acceptable to Ulster GAA, their teams and their fans.  Nobody's business but their own and certainly none of yours. They seem to be doing quite well if you ask me.

Hi Horsey i am a massive hurling fan and a member of the GAA. Basically we are in ity for the money and don't care what way it affects the fans as long as we get the max out of the event. Thats all well and good but we have had to put up with soccer ebcoming the number 1 played sport in Ireland north and south. These decisions are coming back on us and we don't have any answer. I know counties who are making students travel for cloaked training sessions without giving them even a cuppa tea nevermind their expenses.

The GAA is in decline bigtime...the championships might even be cancelled this year things are so bad........these poor students forced to train at secret locations under armed guard from the pro government forces.........I bet the high ranking officials are enjoying the tea......awful times we live in as the local soccer lads say here "imagine if we had somewhere to change other than the car".
Soccer is so strong in the south all the big clubs are broke.....bar Rovers because their fans subsidise them and FF gave them a stadium.

Gant considering the Irish public built the new Croker which was demanded by the GAA you have a serious chip on your shoulder wwith a stadium demanded by the public to be built for Shamrock Rovers in Tallaght. I am glad both got the go ahead just sorry gant we failed in our bid to get our hands on tallaght stadium Laugh
Report GANT007 December 7, 2010 3:30 PM GMT
You didn't fail, you lads got the stadium.
What yearly rent do rovers pay to South Dublin Co. Council.
Do any other loi premiership teams rent facilities?.
