All the big guns stand their ground for the Grade 1's - Zaidpour, Mikael, Jessies Dream, Noble Prince, Realt Dubh, Solwhit, Hurricane Fly, Voler La Vedette etc. Potentially, it looks a wonderful card!

TGD, The Ashbourne House Hotel should suit perfectly. It would be ideal.

Let's hope we are not frosted off.

The Snailbox is a nice place and the grub is good but you will have to get a taxi if you have a few drinks in Ashbourne......Ratoath( 1 mile from the course) is a lively little village after the races. Another option would be Dunboyne Castle hotel(10 mins drive from the course)..nice hotel, deals for racing stays, near the lively village of dunboyne, nightclub and they normally run a bus to fairyhouse from the hotel.

Thanks guys-nothing yet sorted but with the entries in the Grade 1s I'm even more eager to go.

May indeed now stay in Dublin. Coming down from Donegal & 2 excellent days racing & a good night out are the plan.

Anyone have an update on the weather around Fairyhouse, any chance the meeting will be postponed a few days like last year? Hear it's going to be pretty dang cold over next few days.

Think the only way it will be called off will be down to fog. It's cold but not that cold - yet!

Serious snow forecast for Sunday.

Let's hope common sense prevails and the Saturday card goes ahead as scheduled.

Otherwise the whole meeting could be wiped out.

"It's such a great card on Sunday, so we'll be going all out to make sure it takes place. The forecast is starting to give us some cause for concern, but at this stage we'd still be positive we'll be racing Sunday.

Taken from the Irish racing site.

I will go mad if it is possible to race on saturday and they call it off to save sunday and then Sunday goes wallop!!

"Sunday is our centrepiece and if we thought that forsaking Saturday would help Sunday, we would consider it. The last thing we want to do is to race on Saturday and open the ground up for Sunday, so we have to look at that.

"The front and back of all our hurdles and fences will be protected and there is a good cover of grass. We might have an inspection on Friday ahead of Saturday's meeting."

I just got a text from the track. Saturday card transferred to Thursday 2nd Dec. Sunday goes ahead as planned. Sat tickets valid for Sunday.

Let's hope they are valid for Thursday too if not used on Sunday.
