Disturbing events in both counties. It's beyond normal comprehension how a person could take the life of a child.

Very sad but it is only going to get worse I am afraid. Bad an all as the church was it kept some kind of fear in people. Nowadays people dont answer to anyone.
My prediction is that in the not too distant future we will see an American style shoot up in one of our banks.
Some guy will flip from the pressure and walk into a bank with a nmachine gun and let everyone have it.

The line Nero fiddled while Rome burnt springs to mind when thinking of our Government

I said it 2 and half years ago when the wheels rolled off this economy. When people have had a sniff of credit and/or the good life there is no way they can go back to having nothing again. Not just nothing but a life of nothing with no prospects. The support infrastructure does not exist in this Country to deal with it.
Sooner or later some bank employee is going to do or say the wrong thing to the wrong person at the wrong time and it will be another Veronica Guerin moment

lustrumm you are wrong, for the simple reasons,

we are not america, stuff like that only happens there for the reason gun's are so widely available, people withs guns here are farmers shooting rabbits, or scum bags and they've no problems with the banks.

plus lustrumm i find your scare tactic's and after timing, pathetic.

Irish it is not aftertiming I assure you, I am saying it for years.
Also these are changed times now and we all need to see that.

I guess you have to experience it to know the kind of pressure that banks and credit insitutions ringing you day in day out harassing you. I only had it with a credit card but it nearly drove me loony until eventually I settled with them.

I don't intend to be a scaremonger but the truth must be faced.
There is no way in the world what happened in cork and Limerick would have happened 5 years ago IMO. It just would not have happened.
Now there are people out of their minds on Anti-D's, alocohol and worst of all insane from financial pressure.

This is the great unforgotten of this crisis. I am not going to comment on it any more as I it is not my intention to upset anyone and apologies if I have
