Hats off Henry - an incredible performance from Sizing.

I will be the first to admit I thought you were clueless trying him over 3m1f.

Good performances by him and china but i'm still a little dissappointed they didnt at least get to his backside after the last given they both had a run - we still dont seem to have a horse that can make the gold cup class

I thought KS & his goose were cooked when he hit 3.45 I/R down the back straight; China was flying at that stage; SE proved he will stay the trip i.e. Lynch took him very wide around the track; you could argue he ran 3m 2/3f Laugh

Sizing's jumping might be a bit slicker on better ground.

They would be going a lot quicker on better ground @ Kempton which would suit SE better than today.

Better gnd, and more importantly a quicker pace should help his jumping.
V happy with that effort.

And wd to China Rock too, a much improved horse.

Think Sizing had his chance of beating Kauto today. Can't see him getting near Kauto at Kempton on Dec 26!

Without mishap I can't see S E finishing ahead of K S anywhere this season, still think they'd be better waiting at least another season with S E before going trips with it.

KS ain't getting any younger.

SE an 8yo iirc

On todays evidence he'll (K S) still be a better horse this year steeringjob irrespective of age, next season it'd probably be a different story Happy

remind me of the Gold Cup record of 10 yo horses! [;)]

Not great I'll grant you but they're campaigning K S with that in mind albeit I thought he had a hard enough race today,I just can't see S E outstaying him anywhere this season.

Hope i'm wrong but Sizing Europe will not be mapped when the chips are really down at top level over 3 miles+. He is a horse that can win top races over between 2 and 2 and a half miles though and should be campaigned at these distances.

I dont know Santry, I think Lynch was still minding him a bit today. I think he will give Kauto a race at Kempton

I'd worry about SE on a flat track like Kempton.
