Prendergasts Asheerah should go close in the first . Went off quite short ( 15/8) first time out at Fairyhouse in decent enough fillies maiden ... Very green early on ran on to finish fourth ... Seems to be well backed this this morning so probably no ground concerns ....

Biggest crowd I have seen in Mallow for many a long day. I was heading in after the 3rd race (seen the earlier ones on atr) and people were coming out to move cars as jockeys who were heading home after a couple of races couldn't get their cars out cos the car park was full.

It's good to see younger jockeys at last coming through. Mick Darcy and Alan Crowe both rode dashing races during the day.

All told it's the start of the real NH season as the ground has changed at last.

Well, I wouldn't think he is more than his mid twentys. He has been with Roche all his life and at last is getting a free run without injury.

He was in a ding dong battle with Ruby all the way up the straight and his riding was the equal of the Champion.

Himself and Davy Condon have really impressed me this season.

Whether it is they have put a bit of weight on or dropped their leathers a notch I don't know.

Ruby, Barry and Paul have been top dogs for the last ten years with Davy Russell not too far behind.

Darcy is a very good front running Jockey and he proved it again...he seems to have a good knack for front runners there, i remember backing Cnoc Rua and he lead from start to finish... if he behaves himself there's no doubt he's talented. I guess his family background doesn't do him any favours

Swinia, I love betting on CD horses. This one had 2 CD wins and I missed it. What a price.

I backed Heartnsoul (CD) half an hour later. Sad
