Morse, you are most certainly not a pro.

7 FULL BANK JOBS and lost 6 - though I would admit that is  pretty hard to doHappy. Impressive[smiley:crazy]. I will admit that your ability to tip odds-on losers intrigues me, I'm considering in opposing your selections - a kind of opposite of the Octopus thing during the World Cup.

I AM A GENUINE / ASPIRING PRO, on here. It doesn't mean I'm rich, and it most certainly does not mean I find this easy.....because it definitely is not. Each "pro" has their own systems/methods but I'd guess they have the following in common:

- A large loss would be somewhere in the region of 5% of bank
- A large win would be somewhere around 2-3% of bank
- Overall trying to achieve somewhere between 2-7% on total turnover in a year (the dripping tap will fill the bucket)
- FULL BANKS on cricket (particularly India, Pakistan, Carling Cup matchesLaughLaughLaughLaugh - pretty un-pro like activity

Just calm down and stop making a fool of yourself and irritating and spoiling forums where some people are trying to WORK.

Ah Good Morning Morse,

Plan for today?  Mine is....

(1) Breakfast, Paper, Listen to the news..
(2) Do some correspondence, few personal/catch-up things
(3) Go to gym for couple of hours
(4) Shop on way back
(5) Little bit to eat, couple of calls
(6) Go to work....
    Plan and prepare
WTA Tennis  (look at players, outline approach)
Pak v SA cricket (lost yesterdy, so a bit cautious here)
Maybe little dabble soccer, if in mood
Looking for 0.5 - 1.5% of bank for a good day, hopefully
(7) Go for a walk (maybe a pint or two, see how mood takes me )
(8) If not go to bed early, read book, fall sound and snugly to
    sleep

Your day...Mr Professional....something like this....

(1) Tell Mammy I'm sick and can't go to work
(2) Ring in and say I'm not well, can someone else hold the stop/go sign (it was proving difficult anyway, all the cars blowing at me)
(3) Ring Dodgy Finance and secure more money (refused)
(4) Get a 'lend' from the brother and top-up account by 20 euro
(5) Go on Betfair forum and spout on about incredicle punting abilities
(6) Heat up tin of beans for lunch while Mammy is at work
(7) Announce Full Bank job on South Africa at 1.11
(8) Announce Full Bank job on Pakistan at 1.27
(9) Disappear from forum
(10) Ring brother again...
(11) Appear on forum again when every one else is asleep

Have a nice day...Happy

Hmm, well Doyler its not a bad life overall is it?Blush, definitely aids getting back into shape. I wouldn't fault you for skipping out on the news - doom/gloom, and to be honest its hard not to blow a gasket with the whole dishonesty, stupidity and greed that continues to go on. You might also be on the right track skipping tennis - cricket is definitely my best market, tennis is profitbale too but requires full concentration, serious discipline and experience is key (expect the unexpected!)

Anyway best of luck at the 'office' today (you'll need it, Pakistan, they are tough) - lots of similarities with the 'real world' - preparation and hard work pays off, irritants should generally be ignored[;)], don't forget the important things are outside the office.

Need to go, lunch now ready......Happy

Wallflower and Doyler1987 what are your expenses you 'have to' win each week? must be stressful?

Hi DecDec,  its kind of a secret/personal thing but I'll give you an indication sometime later today on this thread - will take me 15/20 mins to outline.

Tennis is about to start and I tend just to scan relevant threads rather than contribute ( a real "Wallflower") when i'm 'in play', other I lose focus.

Hope that is ok - nothing amazing - just the position I'm in or rather the position I chose to put myself in.

Wallflower, are you not the same lad who told the forum that you had a bet on a GAA team because you saw them getting off a bus and they were big men or am I mixing you up with someone else?

Dec - just finished for the day; Paks scrambled my brains again, so a bit tired, going out now. They really are the most unpredictable team in all of sports. Took away a healthy profit because I was afraid of them. Ah well, not bad, below average day but alright. The origination of this thread was our compatriot Morse who yet again surpassed himself on the cricket forum - his ability to get it wrong is nothing short of phenomenal.

I'll respond to your original query tomorrow - just a bit cautious as I'm reticent about people knowing my business on here too many knockers and snipers. Also dont want to set myself up as any kind oracle - most certianly not, just paddling my own canoe. I'm attempting to go pro on here thats all - have been since July.

galwayman - yes it was. So what? Bit meaningless without context  but if I recall it was to explain that gambling / trading etc is not logical and you cannot rule-out gut feel and instinct, hence my example of my own experience (which I won, by the way). It may have been in repudiation of your "team a beats team b, team b beats team c, therefore team a will beat team c" type of simplistic nonsense.

Don't mean to be insulting but I have to be honest. It can hard to converse with you - you oooze negativity and condescension. Overall aura of misery. Sorry, I'm sure your a grand fella in civviesMischief

I merely stated that I bet on form and you seemed to think that was mad. If anyone was engaged in 'simplistic nonsense' it was you. Betting on gut feel and instinct is the road to the poorhouse.

ok, galwayman, lets call a truce - things may have go heated on that last thread in the summer.

Its unlikely you back 100% on form but it seems to be a large part of your method - if it works for you then great. Of course, I consider form as well. I most certainly don't back on instinct and 'gut-feel' and you are right it is the road to the poor-house. My point was, every now and again it has its place - and two or three times a year you 'just know' something is going to happen and can't explain why you are so sure. The downside is you can't dial it up.
