We should concentrate more on developing decent players, nothing we can achieve such rubbish players, doesn't matter who we have as manager. Trap is as good we can do really anyways.

its all we got diamond , and we're proud of it . if people only watched the top teams . we'd only have villa ,notts county , and a few more like them . notice no man utd chelsea liverool starting to get the message diamond . they wearn't always in the top flight playing wonderful football . its got to start somewere and it usually starts from the bottom up mate.

I'm not having a go at anyone who is involved in the league WR. In fact they deserve credit for doing the best they can with limited resources, but i think you'll agree the league is in no state to supply players for a mid class international side.
I have always said football in Ireland needs over hauling. (A county system maybe.... thats another debate though)

The players last night even if including James McCarthy who is a good prospect (No more than that), etc.... would have made little difference. They are an extremely limited outfit flattered in the extreme by their positioning with 2 "Big name" teams (Italy & France) whose recent form has been terrible.

yes we are very limited indeed diamond , but even the very basics were missing last night . no movement , passing was non existent , but the  worst crime of all imo was traps reluctance to change anything even though it was obvious it was not working . by the way you should try and make a loi game you just might be surprised if you keep an open mind .

I think people will just have to get over the match in Paris against a poor french team..........Can the lads put in a shift like that again.......we will have to wait and see.

Diamond Joe......a bit unfair to blame the league set up here....most of these lads never play loi and it's something they use to be able to fall back on if they didn't make it.......no longer the case.
A lad near me spent 3 years in England and came back and joined the Gardai........he plays a bit of GAA and when the soccer season starts up in late september he lines out for the local team.........he spent 3 years with wolves.

I'm not blaming the league. I am saying that it is naive to expect a great international side when the league is so poor and providing so little support to up and coming players.
