Anybody ever amazed at some of the purported matched bets on this site. Some of the prices and amounts matched amaze me at times but today takes the piss. Apparently 35k matched on Far Away so Close at 5.6.

28k matched on Makhaaleb at 4.5. Surely they could find a better way of falsely boosting their apparent turnover figures

I haven't visited the dark side in a while but they do have a different way to betfair to calculating how much was matched on an event. Is it 28k matched or bet on him obsever ?

not sure myself how they how they calculate the turnover sinndar but I would have thought it was pretty similar to here to have any credibility. 28k was matched/traded at 4.5 according to a box in the history tab. A purple fable surely!!

very different ways of calculating turnover, (betfair add layer and backer e.g 60 matched at 4 = 120 matched, Quack multiply 60 matched at 4 = 300 traded) Still pretty hard to believe somebody had 5k on it at 4.5.

Tks 4 in a row. Strange logic if thats their methodology. Probably explains why its hard to get much matched due to little liquidity. Most amusing thing I heard recently was TG 4's interview with bookmaker Eddie Barret on track in Listowel when he was eulogising about BD(on course bookies are tied into BD apparently) and how it was a global exchange where punters in the Far East would bet away to their hearts content on Irish racing. Jeez there must be a maximum bet of Eur2 for these cyber punters so.
