The owners are from near Kentucky. When they were kids they dreamed of owning a Kentucky Derby winner. Why not. It's bred for the dirt and they won't have to cross the atlantic where the chances are A P will have pulled something of the bag by then.

PATHFORK, unbeaten in three starts and the winner of the Group 1 Vincent O'Brien National Stakes at the Curragh last month, has been ruled out of his end-of-season target, the Breeders' Cup Juvenile at Churchill Downs on November 6.
The colt's trainer Jessica Harrington said on Monday: "Unfortunately Pathfork won't be going to the Breeders' Cup. He's hada minor setback and he just won't be ready in time to travel. It is only a very minor problem."
Pathfork gave his trainer and jockey Fran Berry with a first Group 1 success when landing the National Stakes and of his three wins have been achieved over 7f at the Curragh, where he also won a maiden and the Group 2 Futurity Stakes.
The son of Distorted Humor is available at 16-1 for the 2,000 Guineas although he is as low as 10-1 in places.

JESSICA HARRINGTON may send the unbeaten Pathfork for a prep race before tackling the 2,000 Guineas if spring arrives early this year.
Pathfork had been mentioned as a possible Kentucky Derby contender last year but looks set to remain in Europe.
"If we had a good spring he could run in the 2,000 Guineas Trial at Leopardstown, but it takes place early this year [on March 27] so we'll wait and see," said Harrington. "I won't mind if he goes straight to Newmarket without another run and we're pleased with him since he came back in."
On his final start last term Pathfork defeated subsequent Beresford and Racing Post Trophy winner Casamento in the National Stakes at the Curragh. This followed success in the Group 2 Futurity Stakes, a race won before by the likes of St Jovite, Giant's Causeway, Hawk Wing and New Approach.
Pathfork is generally available at 14-1 for the 2,000 Guineas.
