Dublin to punchestown racecourse?

There should be a bus going from Busaras - give them a buzz to find out times etc nearer the time (Unless theyve done away with it, I doubt it).

Ya less than a 5 minute walk. The Luas stops outside it too, but its only one stop from O'Connell street no point getting it if youre going from there.

The bus from busaras will only bring you to Naas town on non festival racedays. The October meeting would not be classed as a festival.

The racecourse is three or four miles from Naas so you would probably have to get a taxi from Naas to the course

If you havent accom sorted then get a bus to Naas and loads of space thier, only about two miles from racecourse,decent bus service also from Dub Airport-City Centre -Naas, and enjoy your trip.

Get on to Punchestown racecourse by phone or email and get them to fill you in. I went along to Busaras (some folk in here are aware of this adventure) on a Festival day some years and DONT get me started on the adventure I had; suffice to say I wont be going near Busarus or Bus Eireann to bring me to an outside Dublin race meeting for a long time again. Leopardstown is about ten minutes walk from the Sandyford Luas stop - that I've established.

Dont let Punchestown or anyone claim Bus Eireann run buses to Punchestown until you establish how many buses are going and WHEN they are going.

You can get an ordinary Bus Eireann bus to Naas but the racecourse is about two to to three miles away still.

Gubbed, cutbacks in Bus Eireann I believe has resulted the Race Bus from Busarus being only used at week-ends. It didn't pay to use it mid-week.
What you should do is get The Kildare bus (126) which is a frequent service. Get off at the Blessington road junction. Make sure your binoculars are in full view and stck out your hand and you won't be waiting more than 5 minutes for a lift. Anyone after racing will give you a lift back to Naas.

Kauto Star may very well turn up for Punchestown's Gold Cup, in which his stablemate flopped last year. Nicholls ticked off the reasons why it should suit Kauto Star: "It's right-handed, it'll be good ground, it's six weeks [after the Cheltenham race]. A lot of horses will run elsewhere or be finished for the season. I would think he'd be hard to beat."

Nicholls wouldn`t consider the horse for P`town in his prime, but now he knows he wont be winning any more KG`s or GCs it`s change of plan time.

Imagine trying to pick out the most suitable race for his horse.

It really is deplorable.

He will be a good draw but not as good as 2/3 years ago and that is my point ybm.
He`s 11 and owes them less than nothing. They didn`t view this race as being fit for purpose when he was in his prime, but now it represents a great opportunity because the nkotb wont be there.

He ran a cracker on Friday but I wouldn`t be so sure he`ll do it again next month.

cant see the problem with it, the horse has ran 3 times this season, it gives him a good chance to land another g1 so good luck to them
