Smullen for Ballydoyle

Hi I'm Troy Mc Clure and you may remember me from such other bullshit rumours as:

Aidan O'Brien is getting the sack from Ballydoyle.
Frankie Dettori is being replaced by Ahmed Ajtebi.
Paul Carberry will never ride for Noel Meade again.
Cliff Richard's housemate is gay.

One of the above is true.

I wouldnt be surprised.

Thats right one track mind.Moore was asked and wouldnt relocate.

Maybe they should look at the quality of their horses instead.
Smullen has ridden for his wifes brother-in-law on max 5 occasions.
Given that fact it would be a very perverse appointment.
And if he does get the job their time at the top is up.

Nice smiley face from Doyler,the feller with the inside line at Ballydoyle,the feller who knows exactly whats going on.He knew this ages ago but had to keep stum.

can anyone thimk of any recent significant Murtagh **** ups on the track for Ballydoyle? I couldn't comment on any of the home stuff. Maybe they're doing a Gosden and getting the younger man (Moore in early)All in all, I'd be surprised if this were true.

It's got to do with his hair. Murtagh refuses to get it cut. Crew cuts are order of the day hence the call to Mooore and Smullen who both have the standard and appropriate hair length.

I heard that too observer. The boss is not happy with Murtagh copying his 'rich boy' hairstyle.

Thunderbirds are go at Ballydoyle.

That roumour was blown out of the sky at the curragh yesterday. Murtagh WILL BE NO 1 in 2011.

The next stable jockey at Ballydoyle is obviously going to be a certain R L Moore ( nap )[;)]

Highly doubt KF will be returning, he has a better life in England, he'd be bored over here and only get into trouble again with drink/drugs. Wish he would come back though!

I think JM has been treated very shabbily this season. If he has any sense he will go back to John Oxx where I am sure he will be welcomed with open arms.

Doubt Johnny will ever return to Oxx. Remember he was replaced there by an aging & now longer required by Ballydoyle M Kinane. It was not his decision to leave Oxx's.

I reckohe would get the Oxx job if he wanted it because Berry is not up to the mark.

I have heard from a reliable source that the relationship between JM and Ballydoyle is not at its most comfortable.

The nub of the issue appears to be JM's unhappinesss with having to ride to such prescribed tactics rather than using his own judgement.

Hope they sort it out.

Just thought id bring this thread back into play.All the people who rubbished what i said at the time are fairly easy to pick out now,the know alls who know ****k all.

I will apologise when Smullen is announced but until then I'm not giving you the satisfaction.

Smullen may be a good choice, but wouldn't you just love to be a fly on the wall when he rides a stinker.  Imagine the 2 sisters going at it, better than any soap. 

Coolmoore demand loyalty and judge on results. 
Colm O'Donoghue looks a reasonable bet @6/1.  The chances he has been given he has taken.  This year outside Ireland he has done well on Cape Blanco, Midas Touch, Seville, Joshua Tree.

DERMOT WELD on Tuesday moved quickly to rule out his stable jockey Pat Smullen from the vacancy at Ballydoyle following the shock resignation of Johnny Murtagh on Monday.

Smullen, Ireland's champion jockey, was installed as the early favourite to succeed Murtagh, but such a move looks highly unlikely now and Weld told the Racing Post that the jockey had committed to his stable for next year "and beyond".

Speaking to the Racing Post on Tuesday morning, Weld said: "Pat Smullen will be retained jockey for next season and hopefully for the foreseeable future
