It’s pretty simple:
1) Log onto oddschecker.com 2) See what the biggest price discrepancies are, in this case 8/5 Fingal (Ladbrokes) V 2/1 Fingal (Powers) 3) See if the firm offering the 2/1 offer draw no bet to give him the best chance of not registering a loss. 4) Cut and paste from his previous articles one of the following phrases: a) The prices look correct. b) Team x look overpriced. c) Team x should be a bit shorter than firm-x quote of price x. d) Cut and paste a phrase from recent Kevin Pullein article. 5) Insert Sporting Fingal or just Fingal depending on word count where you have x 6) Insert phrase 4a on the game where no bookmaker is quoting a standout price and recommend no bet. Send of email and wait for the cheques in the post. |

------------------- ChildOfMine2-Bookmakers hate punters backing 5/2 shots each way because you've a great chance of getting three quarters of your dosh back, don't see the problem. |

Not for me.....

The horse might win but I believe its a terrible ew bet at 5/2.I wouldnt back it at 5/2 ew now and its currently 13/8.

In fairness to him he is having a very good day so far.I would rather see him doing the exchanges on RTE as opposed to someone who flies in for the day.

Anybody can tip up a 5/2 shot each way. Lets call a spade a spade here. There's absolutely nothing logic about that!
|

By:
would u rather a 33/1 loser yes ?

By:
child most of the professional guys do it..if its a cert to be in the places and might win why not?its a a 25% risk of your stake ..u geddit?
|
|
By:
I hear what you're saying but you don't see any of the recognised pundits tipping up 5/2 shots each way. You don't see Tom Segal doing it. If he picks an each-way selection, at least its at an each-way price.
|
|
By:
How is it a 25% risk of your stake? I don't geddit.
Good tipping by JW btw. |

Anyone who is unable to see the "logic" of backing a 5/2 shot each way in an 8 runner race should give up punting IMO.

The only problem with backing 5/2 shots each way is that sometimes they actually finish unplaced causing you to double your losses

i would have no problem backing 7/4 1/4 odds each way on a big wager . I will admit to withdrawing my online subscription to the RP when i saw JW's name underneath the race , saying to myself i would at least equate my opinion with his so why should i subscribe to it.
His is an opinion i would listen to but not one i would pay for , but saying that why would any punter pay for any opinion but their own. |

The critical difference between Johnny Ward's opinion and yours is that he expresses his pre event.
