Rosgommen or Roscommon?

GOH-ran always annoys me, don't know why.

Both wrong. The correct pronunciation is Roscummon

I dont know why I even bothered starting this thread, when I knew I would get no normal responses, only riddles and bullshit!!

This must be the worst forum online, full or smart arse, pricks who think they know it all!

A small few pronounce it adding a 'g' sound but it's 'Roscommon'. Funny thing is I've never noticed Ciaran Mulooley doing it, he's from there.

Agree with you Town, Ciaran Mulooly isn't noticeable. Though no doubt the next time I here him he will do it!!

The worst guy is the Gaelic commentator for the radio. He is always at it imo.

I saw someone say GOH ran isn't correct. It is actually. The locals call it that. I am regularly in Loughrins in the village when I go racing down there and they say that is the correct pronunciation.
