5.05 - Wijikura likely to be a warm order here after a very convincing victory at Roscommon 2 weeks ago but one i think could represent a bit of e/w value is Whisper Cool.

Ran a stormer in a Curragh handicap in June when finishing 4th (should have been 3rd only for gettin  hampered close home) off a rating of 69 but the 3 rivals just in front that day were rated between 82-85- Bright Horizon 2 1/2l in front 2nd last week again off 91 - Knight Eagle has been placed 3 times since again off 84-84 -  and Top Spin was a shd in front of him that day and won a Premier handicap in Kilarney this evening off 90 - worth an e/w play here imo

5.35 nb - Bacher Boy and Casey Top look the 2 to concentrate on here with preference for me for Bacher Boy on a line through Persian Gayle - Casey Top was beaten 11l by Persian Gayle recieving 3lbs over 2m4 at Wexford the start of June - Bacher Boy was beaten 2l by persian Gayle when giving it 3lbs at Galway lto when it didnt seem to get up the hill after taking up the running two out

6.05 - A tough lookin handicap with a few of the runnersin decent form. A small e/w for me on the top weight Alpine Glade here - Was well beaten in the Galway hurdle lto but is a course winner after beating Sweeps Hill very impressively here in May- 3rd in a G3 at Punchestown in April behind Tarla at a massive price, Barry Cash was on for both those runs and is back on tomorrow - has run twice on the flat in between when going off fav on both occasions and not being disgraced in 4th and 6th on either

6.35 Nap - Irelands Call was still in with a massive chance when falling 2 out lto at Wexford when battling it out with Turf War and Northern Bay - Bachelor Affair would have been well behind that day in 4th and he won well at Tramore last week

7.10 Rare Commodity rated 118 over hurdles-  disappointed lto at Roscommon when 4th, was a well backed 11/10 fav on that occassion and his main market rival fell early in the race but on his run wen he fell at the last when 2nd behind Glenstall Abbey(closely matched with Wise Old Owl) he must have decent claims in this

7.40 - Head Waiter e/w - Course form here reads 15123 on 5 runs here, 2nd here in May on g/f, just touched off close home by Powerstation. He was nt disgraced at Galway lto in a hurdle when 7th behind Hoopy, could make a bold bid from the front off a featherweight as long as he gets his jumping together early

8.10 - Tough race to get a handle on with a few likely lookin newcomers involved. Maddoxtown sets a decent standard though and could be worth an e/w play as he could be overlooked in the betting, 2nd here in July behind Laganbank(so WP prob wil know wat he has) and was 5th of 16 at Galway lto

BJG the Alpine Glade form in Killarney with Sweeps Hill 1/2 on the day is not accurate, not a true formline. I heard from a very reliable source.[;)] he might still win it tho

And I heard from a reliable source that Alpine Glade is actually a she [;)] Still might win though Devil

Excellent write up.
Couple of points.
Wijikura sold up Davy Russells father after won in Roscommon. Was very schooled for that day & the transfer to Robbie Hennessy is hardly a positive. Interesting that Russell keeps the ride.

Irelands Call Wexford form also upheld by the win of January yesterday.

Think Wise Old Owl will beat rare commodity with the step back up in trip suiting.

Race 3) On The Other Hand (e/w) CD form

Race 4) Coast (Lay) Bounce factor

Race 5) No Selection. Wise Old Owl may be a tad short in the betting.

Race 6) Keelaghan. Ruby getting down to 10.00 must be noted

Race 7) Maddoxtown (e/w) 5th at Galway should see this one hit the frame.

Well done BJG with Whisper Cool. Most horses that  come out of Lyons's yard are usually well schooled. I remember he had a horse who won a 2 year old race and he said it would win the first 3 yo hurdle in Roscommon the following year and it did. The name escapes me.

Good tipping lads.

Nice to see Barry Cash follow up his winner for Karl Wyse on Sunday in Tramore with a double here.

It's good that the same jockeys don't win all the time.

He is a bit like Pat Taaffe, not the most stylish in a finish but maks up for it out the country. His ride on Alpine Glade was brilliant.
