Becoming boring!!!
Its been boring for ages now!!!!! Everyone is afraid of Kilkenny!! |
|
By:
nothing like the SPL which has two crap teams and 8 or nine really crap teams.
hurling has 1 phenomenal team and three or four very good teams. |
|
By:
the cats are the only team who can play
sad and yes boring also imo |
|
By:
hurling gets 2/3 good games a year tops, and these GAA mongs like to ram it down our throats 'best field game ever bullshit' like we haven't a mind of our own to decide which sports we like and don't like,
|
|
By:
just because you like something, oldbean, doesn't mean it's 'good'
|
|
By:
agree them f...king pundits on rte spouting absolute kaktrap about the skills
of gaa,as if your not real irish if you criticise its dullness, load of frustrated bully types imo |
|
By:
just because you like something, oldbean, doesn't mean it's 'good'
----- i know whay i like and i know what i dont like, i don't need GAA mongs to try and convince me either way, hope this helps |
|
By:
Another keyboard labelling all gaa people mongs , thats the type of **** that starts these senseless gaa v soccer arguments on here , arguments the forum could do without imo.
If you don't like a sport , surely its not hard to not watch it and refrain from posting stupid remarks on a forum about it. |
|
By:
Always thought it a bit much to be calling hurling an "All Ireland" championship, seeing as its only played seriously in about 4 counties, all more or less bordering each other.
|
|
By:
Why do people always say 'hope this helps' on this forum when they don't want to help clear up any confusion but actually just want to let the forumite they are in disagreement with know that they and their opinions on a topic aren't worth ****

i think its so unbalanced that the kilkenny minors would give who ever wins next sunday a good game...in 5 yrs time id say the all ireland will be between kilenny a and kilkenny b..thats the way its looking

The emphasis on Croke Park is playing a massive part in the destruction of the GAA. The GAAs need to fund the building of Croke Park by using it for every major game is having a massive negative effect on the game. Tom Humpheries indirectly hit the nail on the head today when passing comment on the state of Pairc Ui Caoimh..Its in a extremely poor state. Semple Stadium is no better and majority of other grounds are being neglected in favour of Croke Park.
Atmospheres in general are turgid because fans understandably have no interest in paying 50 quid for train ticket to Dublin, 50 quid for a game ticket and another 50 on food/drink when they can watch at home for free. The GAA are an embarassement to a great sport. |
|
By:
And having KK and Dublin basically playing home matches every time doesnt help either.
Send Dublin down to Killarney/Omagh and KK to Cork. Give it some balance |

Million spent on thurles 2 yrs ago shows what games u go to
|
|
By:
Million? , you wouldn't know it judging by the state of the place this year.
and i have been there and seen recently with my own eyes. How much has been spent on Croke Park in comparision? |
|
By:
and lets be honest Tocky, a million is pittance in todays world in relation to stadium work. It would probably barely cover the builders sandwiches.

find all this stuff a bit odd. What is becoming boring is the gap between Kilkenny and the rest for sure. Kilkenny (and Im not from Kilkenny) are possibly the best team the game has ever seen. Tipperary, Galway, Cork,Waterford and Dublin are probably near enough as good as they have been for the last 20 years or so. Wexford, offaly, Clare and Limerick have fallen badly behind for sure but at any given time there are always a few counties at a low ebb.
The fact is that Kilkenny are, and will continue to be for quite a while, head and shoulders above the rest. 5 in a row........read 6,7,8,9..........it certainly becomes monotonous but it happens in many sports |
