After the first soft yellow the players should have been careful. Klose gave the ref the excuse.

when the referee booked Ivanovic for that inocuios challenge he set a precedent and had to brandish a card for nearly every foul if he was to be consistant. It all came form the yellow for Ivanovic

Podolski has a become a figure of hate for me. He's been so bad today. Just there he had Schweinsteiger across from him and he tried to beat the man and lost it. Slovenia v USA i will keep this one short and sweet. Slovenia where hopeless against Algeria. Even when Algeria went down to 10 men they where terrible, and only for a goalkeeping howler would not have scored. They where devoid of ideas.
USA got the benefit of a keeper howler too and early on where a bit overrun by England but in the 2nd half they really picked it up and had chances to win the game. If they can play like they did in that 2nd half here i can see them winning comfortably.

I have come to the conclusion that the ref was paid off, brandish plenty of yellow cards and throw in the red against the fancied team. This referee has done everything he can to find frees in the Slovenian box. He's a thundering disgrace. Libel laws prevent me from saying what I think of him. If anything that was a penalty. 6 of 1....I'm ****ing disgusted.

On reflection I can only agree with Biodiesel's post. The officials are not stupid people, they don't fail to do things millions around the world can see are obvious. The giveaway is the time added on. It was blatant.

The more I see that replay the more annoyed I get. There were 5 penos there and a goal for the USA. He gives a free out. It's unbelievable.
