Race 1) Radharcnafarraige. Grainne Seoige's charity is quids in already having won a 100 grand race at Naas last bank holiday Monday. I thought Jim had a Royal Ascot banker that won at Naas 2 months ago, but he is relying on the tried and trusted.
Race 2) At First Sight.(Nap) I was sure this would be kept for the Irish Derby. Looks a penalty kick having routed all bar Workforce at Epsom.
Race 3) Lille Langtry. (NB) Sure to come on for her run in the Irish 1000 Guineas when she was nearest at the finish.
Race 4) Tartan Gigha. Keeps winning on the big days and Mark Johnson is already on the scoresheet this week.
Race 5) Corsica. (Treble) Mark Johnson can complete a double in a race that he has made his own over the years.
Race 6) Bangalore Gold. Was backed as if defeat was out of the question on Irish 2000 Guineas day. Very progressive.
Mr Phantom, that was the name that escaped me. I was sure it was going to Royal Ascot. If I see Jim or Kevin at Gowran on Sunday I will query it with them and report back here next week.

what do you irish boys think about mikhail glinka? i thought it looked dodgy last time hung in behind then showed a nice burst of speed before (to my eyes) looking unwilling to go past. delamere who i respect has gone for icon dream o'hehir hasnt put a selection up in the race even though there is 3 irish runners and o'brien says he doesn't know wether its fit enough (or so he says!). added to all this it looks to have a rounded action so might be unsuited to the ground and the world and his wife is tipping up corsica i thought it would drift but isnt doing so yet. any views?

Ryan Moore facking useless on Music Show, 6 wide the whole way and loses his position totally on the turn to go nearly last before staying on really well for 4th

Race 1) Memory. Another power packed finish from the brilliant Richard Hughes, denying the best lady flat jockey at the moment Hayley Turner a debut success at Royal Ascot. Well tipped up by Child of Mine.
Race 2) Monterosso. Another winner for the Johnson team who took this fair and square. Well tipped up by Satellite Flight who napped it up.
Race 3) Lille Langtry. The powerful O'Brien/Murtagh combo at last coming good. It was an all Irish finish and she can go on and mop up the many fillies mile races if there are many around. Child of Mine notching up a nice double. Norn as usual going close with long priced shots.
Race 4) Rainbow Peak. A well deserved success for Michael Jarvis who is having a brilliant season. Neil Callan an unusual jockey booking. The veteran stable jockey Philip Robinson not on board.
Race 5) Mikhail Glinka. A double brought up for the Ballydoyle boys by a nose. well backed throughout the day.
Race 6) Treadwell. A tribute to the handicapper and the clerk of the course. A bunch finish with both the far side and near side involved. It's great to see Jamie Osborne back in the winners enclosure at Royal Ascot. He went so close many times lately with his gallant Gold Cup horse.
Conclusion. It was good to see the Ballydoyle boys back at the top table. Their sires had a memorable day esp Danehill Dancer.

Well I'll go to the end of our road wondering how JM got MG home in front. He was my lay of the week in-running and cost me some but that was a vintage ride.
