Inda never comes out of his bunker. You would think we were in a war situation. Himself and Cowen are woeful.

when was he last on prime time, Vincent Browne etc.

kick him out now IMO.

I hate Kenny with a passion, imagine having him leading the country? I'm not a fan of Fine Gael but could stand Richard Bruton. The best of a bad bunch imo.

With Charlie Flanagan defecting earlier today to the RB camp, it must be all over for Kenny now. Although with a secret ballot there will be, undoubtedly, double promising of votes. There are going to be some potentially good careers in tatters tomorrow afternoon if the Bruton camp have done their sums wrong.

I'm embarrassed now, really I am.

Who or what has he now?

Phil Hogan, he looks like some smart guy buying a horse at Ballinalsoe Fair and tht James O'Reilly, he's the image of Brendan Grace! I expect him to yap on like 'Bottler' any second.

A Labour guy I know told me "the best thing we have now and hope for is Enda and Brian (C) to hold on to their posts and we're in wth Eamon as Taoiseach," provided of course that the opinion polls go as they are showing now.

How thick can Fine Gael be.

I suspect there is a swathe of voters like me who just want to see the back of Cowen and his fellow incompetent and corrupt cohorts.

Didnt like Kenny and Fine Gael, but would live with it as the least worst option.

Like them even less now for not recognising what the people want. CHANGE.

I'll vote Labour, even though I've no idea what they stand for right now!!!

Fine Gael. F.O.

yep its an issue with me , can't vote for cowen or his band of thieves, but kenny and fine gael are complete numpties.  They have had a year to seize the moment and force a general election but its Gilmore who has done that.

All fine gael do is put that plonker leo varadkar on every single programme, I couldn't vote for this mob either.

Gilmore has little or no chance of ever being taoiseach.
What happened today imho, means that Kenny will be the next Taoiseach and long term this is good news for Fianna Fail.

Gilmore has a chance imo. He'll have a choice of party to go into coalition with, for a start, they could do a rotated Taoiseach as part of the deal. 2.5 years each. The next coalition won't be the senior/junior deal. There'll 2 parties a lot closer in size in terms of TDs.

Gilmore is another Nick Clegg.
He may be the most popular leader but his party will not put fwd enough quality candidates. Simple as that.

Gilmore at 4/1 to be next Taoiseach must rank as one of the worst bets i have ever seen. They simply do not have the numbers needed in order to get him in.

Et tu Bruton!

Kenny very plain his better than Bruton tho

As I said Diamond Joe they don't need the numbers to get him in as Taoiseach. As I said, Labour have dibs. A non-FF Taoiseach is almost a must for the next government. A rotated Taoiseach is a strong possibility with Kenny in charge of FG.

Serious people who are knowledgeable about politics have been discussing it for a few years now.

If I remember correctly Dick Spring wanted it 16 years ago.

You can as if you've never heard of the suggestion or heard it being discussed. I'm just pointing out it has been discussed for almost 20 years.

I'm sure its been discussed but imho will never happen. Stability is the key to any government and a rotating taoiseach is unstable.

Im trying to work out why people hate kenny so much. Yes he lacks charisma but haughy had loads of it but what good did that do us?

kenny seems to get on with things, since he took over FG he has improved their position at each election. yes he lacks a killer touch , but maybe at the moment we need a grafter and not a showman.

FG did themselves no favours this week, bruton clearly didnt do his figures properly and in fairness to kenny once bruton he said that no confidence in him he had to sack him.

maybe hes the steady hand we need at the moment, i hope that they get their act together and soon as we need a viable alternative.

gilmore comes across very well but when asked to back up his figures and how hes going to fund everything hes found wanting.

Labour didn't even have enough candidates in the local elections last year to take advantage of their vote, how could you have them running the country if they can't even run the numbers numbers for an election.
By:
Diamond_Joe_Quimby
When: 18 Jun 10 18:25
Correct Upthewaterhill and their vote management is abysmal.

They literally handed FF some seats in the last election through poor management of local areas.

Inda and the country and western set simply wiped as s with the young up starts of the aristocratic set. That picture of the the 9 of them on the plinth will make a great fianna fail xmas card.

The aristocrats were 2 0 up and ended up 3 2 down. Phil Hogan played a captains part and lifted them over the line.

The 2 birds flanking bruton on Tuesday must feel like mutton 2 days later.

Up one day down the next!!
