Is there a worse jockey riding at present?  Another brutal ride today on Money Belt.  To make matters worse he drops his whip just after the 2nd last

He had the length of the straight to go by a horse that has stopped all his life and still couldn't do it. Dropping the whip made no difference because he would have hung away from it anyway. Just the type of horse he is.

To answer your question yes there are hundreds of worse jockeys riding at present.

Andrew was brilliant today on Charlie Byrnes winner. There is always a lot of pressure on jockeys riding favs esp if none have already won earlier in the day.

The punters were being wiped out down there in Kilbeggan today.

Hats off to Andrew.

Okay it was a bad ride from Andy he is certainly not riding bad at the present, only a fool or a fella that had his balls on Money Belt would make a comment like that!!

In fact Andrew Mac has never been riding better. It has been the funniest meeetings I can recall. horse after horse has closed in on the home bend looking certain to go by only for nothing to happen.

He would be far from my favourite rider but this os his best ever season mostly thanks to O Grady firing out winners.
On a daily basis he is second only to Davy Russell (not counting the big three as they do not ride the gaff tracks every day)
