4.55 race - A chase with 15 runners - 3 reserves.
There are several hurdles with up to 21 runners - is the chase course limited to 15 runners - or is there some other reason? Thanks in advance for replies.

Also - the reserves are quoted in the betting on Betfair!

There is a chase with 15 runners and 3 reserves tomorrow at Killarney too so i would say it is more than likely that chases are limited to 15 runners.

Only 15 runners allowed in Handicap Chases. Strange really as the Chase Course is outside the hurdle course. It may be to do with bookmaker pressure

Is it normal to include reserves in the betting - as surely, there will have to be deductions if they do not run?
