9.00 Dundalk- ESTEPHE (NAP), Tommy Stack's team in unstoppable form, should take all the beating in a weak race with top jock J. Murtagh booked for the ride
|
|
By:
Anyone got any opinions on the Maiden.
Re-Tommy Stack Filly...do you think she will go on a sound surface that is Dundalk...i see her best form is Heavy ground. The field is weak and yes Tommy is flying but this filly did not impress with her attitude when i saw her last time |
|
By:
Medium Auction maiden that is
Paul Deegan's Horse could be a dark horse in their. Ran over a trip that would not have suited last time and trainer in cracking form |
|
By:
Agreed, Estephe looks a good thing. Pity its not the last race. Curley paid for my pints last Friday night thanks to BJG.
That 0 to 40 9 25 race is a woeful race. Colm O'Donoghue is back after his boxing match with Danny Mullins and can start with a winner Hampstead Heath in the first. Dusty Foley found every pocket going here a fortnight ago. |

I dont see the surface as being a problem, is lightly raced and showed good battling qualities to win her maiden last year. With the stable really firing on all cylinders she should win this race easily imo. |
|
By:
Snap very true....but i don't like backing short priced Jollies at Dundalk....for some reason i dont know why just think they get turned over more than they should. Hate the bloody camera angle they used at that race course

Agree with you 100% about the shorties at dundalk! Have had bad experience with them in the past! Turning for home they might seem to have the race in the bag, and then something comes flying down the outside and gets up to win easy! That's the only thing making me have second thoughts about this one tomorow! |

I am willing to give Empat another go 2moro night for my only bet. Has ran hear solidly and at least i know he is in good heart. Forgive the last run and Billy Lee is going great guns. Obviously Murtagh is exceptional and Stack's are in good form but when i see a 4yr old filly kept in training that is a Dansili i think they may have some black type races in mind later on in the year and thus may not be fully tuned.

7.00 Nap - Russian View, a CD winner, got tender handling lto on his first run back after a break- Murtagh on here and must have a massive chance from stall 2
9.25 nb - Jigalo - 2nd in his last 2 starts over hurdles in very competitive races- if showin a reproduction of either of those runs here, should walk this |
|
By:
Can't understand why JIGALO is forecast 7/4 for the last. He has a lot of negatives. Never placed in a flat race including similar grade races, 9 years old, top weight, best hurdle form on soft ground. The one I think who offers E/W value is ASIYA 12/1, who has been running reasonably well over hurdles and is more likely to find the necessary improvement to win a race of this standard.
|
|
By:
Jigalo a good thing off a mark of 56. He is clearly thriving at present, as he ran a massive race at leop. to finish 1 lt behind tarkari recently. Should win this at his ease imo
|

I can't find a tommy stack filly running in any maiden or medium auction maiden ????
Is it cos i'm drunk ? |

9.00 Dundalk Crowne Plaza Leading Jockey & Trainer Championship Race (4YO plus) |
|
By:
Asiya ew @14/1 (1/4 odds 4places) - has shown some ability over hurdles, and this trip should suit in an awful race.
|

I couldn't be backing Estephe at around 5/4. Yes the yard is flying but all that says is that it's shorter than it should be whether it's fully wound up or not. The form book says that it's mark of 86 looks about right and all that it's doing is making the book for Emmpat. Emmpat finished a close up 7th lto under a fairly tender ride. It should certainly finish in front of Dancera this time. To me it's a confident selection and 2/1+ seems very fair in a race with little strength.

BJG, right as usual. 2/1 Jigalo.
Going to do a Lucky 15 based on these tips. Lets hope they are up to the usual standard. 6 30) Hampstead Heath 7 00) Russian View/ Banna Boirche. Have yet to decide whether to follow BJG or Norn Iron. 9 00) Estephe/ Emmpat. Snap and John Magnier have differing views. 9 25) Jigalo Any furthur advice before I do it lads. |
|
By:
The die is cast. BJG it is i am following!!
6 30) Hampstead Heath ( Found more pockets that 40 coats two weeks ago) 7 00) Russian View ( BJG's nap) 9 00) Emmpat ( Hope he is not too old at 12 and Swan can't buy a winner this year. But it is value) 9 30) Jigalo ( Well tipped up here) |
