4.15 - AG DUL SUAS. made eye catching ground at thurles 3 starts ago, and was a fair 3rd lto. back running at thurles tomorow, should be in with a massive shout in a weak maiden hurdle.

The popular Thursday fixtures at Thules and Clonmel come to a close for this season tomorrow.
Race 1) Footy Facts. (Treble) This should be a stroll in the park for Tyner's 10 yr old gelding. He is in the form of his life, winning a similar race in Cork at the week-end from in form Riguer Bob Back. Race 2) Lascalahall. Francis flood's gelding has been knocking on the door of late. A fortnight ago he went down by less than a length to Tim Doyle's Mazara. Race 3) Cheer Up. (NB) The ladies shone at Cheltenham last week. Now it could be the turn of Kathy Harrison. This Rudimentary gelding ran a big race in a similar MH at Fairyhouse before xmas when 3rd to Mick The Tooth and Cadspeed. Race 4) Fennis Boy. The key here could be that Davy Russell takes over for the first time on this most consistent gelding. At the week-end he was a close 3rd to Lady Roberta at Gowran. Race 5) Ballochroy. (Nap) Mick Murphy has been a casualty of this recession. Dessie Hughes has turned this gelding inside out. He can take advantage of his very low initial rating to follow up in a similar handicap. He has a 5 lb penalty for beating L'Oiseau De Feu at Naas a fortnight ago. The trip is an unknown. Race 6) Keats Dream. Runner up in a similar race to Carlosantana at Limerick 12 days ago should see this one go close. Race 7) Spruce Cottage. Tom Taaffe's gelding is put in as an alternative to likely fav Lambro from the Mullins yard. Runner up on his debut to Andy Kennedy's Character Actor at Fairyhouse who followed up at Ffos Las to my cost at the week-end can see this one have a live chance. I tried to find a case for tipping Bruach na Mara as ye have lads. Two reasons why I opposed. Colgan cost me a nice few pound in the first at Gowran on Saturday by steadying up King Of The Refs too much going into the last. Also his only run over hurdles was poor. Cheers BJG for putting me wide on Curley's winner last Friday. |

4.15 Not before eight is very interesting especially with his jockey taking 7lbs of and will definatley stay the trip, not bad runs the last 2 in context of this race, thought AG DUL SUAS was interesting but that run at limerick 2m6f, she looked like she did'nt stay even though she won a 3m point. Not before eight looks pretty solid e/w material. Pretty confident fennis boy and dun masc wont stay the trip.
|
|
By:
Is it not weird though running Not Before Eight in a maiden when he's eligible for 0-95s with the young lad claiming 7?
I'd still give him a fair e-w shout today, along with De Bartishell and Good Decision (nap). |

By:
ciao norn,
just looking at 1 piece of form on Moskova running, both Footy and Sandy were beaten roughly the same distance. Fotty giving 7lbs and Sandy receiving 7lbs. i know 1 was hurdles and the other was fences but it still gives you idea some credence. sandy now receiving 19lbs with further 4lbs when claims are taken on board. |

Any thoughts on Ask Me Sister in the last - no idea about this Sean Osborne chap but she's a massive price for a horse who was running well in a point behind a decent horse a couple of years back before she tipped up. Obsorne has two horses in prior races so interesting to see how they get on. Run ok and the 66's about Ask Me Sister could love massive. I backed Some Fool last time out and was far from impressed by the jockey on it (Louise O'Neill I think) - she rides again today and looks fair woeful to my eye.

Went 1.06 in the win market :0 had zilch left after the last, was lucky to hold on for 2nd, if the 3rd didnt have to switch would have nabbed him |

By:
Ag dul suas should go close in the 4.15.
His flop over 2 1/2 miles at Limeric kis a worry but I don't think he was right that day because they expected it to suit. |
