By Tony O'Hehir 11:25AM 14 MAR 2010 MOURAD, the sponsor's 8-1 joint favourite for the Coral Cup at Cheltenham on Wednesday, could miss the race after a late injury setback.

Trainer Willie Mullins, who had yet to decide whether Mourad would go for the handicap or the Ladbrokes World Hurdle two days later, said on Sunday morning: "He has bruised a foot and is a doubt for both races."

Mullins has also confirmed that Citizen Vic will run in Wednesday's RSA Chase with Ruby Walsh in the saddle.

The winner of the Grade 1 Dr P.J. Moriarty Novices' Chase on his penultimate start had been set to bypass the festival for the Powers Gold Cup at Fairyhouse until stablemate Uimhiraceathair was pulled out of the meeting.

He is a general 16-1 best-price for the novice event.

MOURAD, who was a festival doubt after suffering a late setback on Sunday, will miss Cheltenham with a bruised foot, trainer Willie Mullins confirmed on Monday.

Mullins said: "We've decided to leave Mourad at home. He has a bruised foot and will not be running in the Coral Cup on Wednesday or the Ladbrokes World Hurdle."

Shakervilz, who was an intended runner in the Irish Independent Arkle Trophy on Tuesday and who is also entererd for the RSA Chase on Wednesday, will alsomiss the festival.

Mullins, who will be represented in the Arkle by Sports Line and Quiscover Fontaine, said: "We decided at the last minute not to bring Shakervilz to Cheltenham. We will look for suitable races for him at home instead."

Ruby is very positive about Quevega in the Examiner this morning.

Says that she is 100% and that it will take something special to beat her.
