why a max bet in a race where u cant make up your mind between two mares?
By:
Voler it is so because it was freezing when she beat an under cooked Go Native in the Maze!
By:
I havent made my mind YET. Only 2 count, not often you can say that at C'ham!

Its a lot colder than that Get yer thermals :) |

Pre-Recession some trainers like Francois Doumen used to give their G1 hurdlers some nice leg warmers for their races. Those days are long gone tho imo

voler wont stay up the hill.
presence of j'y vole suggests all may not be right with quevega. if j'y vole goes for the ryanair then its all systems go for quevega but if she runs here then a big ew bet for me. she stays and is back to form and if ruby rides quevega then it wouldnt be the first time he was on the wrong mullins horse - triumph in '07 just my opinion |
By:
I don't think Quevega will start clear favourite.

Give us the likely sp tissue there so Eddie. You are a great authority on all things racing so this should be no bother to you. I'll bring this thread to the top after the race and we can review your work.

TGM -your anger pains me.The love of a good woman could sort out your issues.
By:
Have a feeling Quevega will be a major drifter in this.
By:
She seemed to stay LTO no problem
By:
Totally agree that voler is a dodgy stayer in this grade, yeah she's won over 2.5m but not against a horse of the calibre of quevega. For me she didnt look to see out her race fully over two and a half even though she won. its a shame as I think Voler would have had a great chance in the champion.

By:
the galwayman will be really annoyed now :)

It was only a matter of time before you turned up moneypenny. I'd hate to meet yourself and Eddie Batt. Based on your posts on here, I'd say your head is so far up his backside you can taste whatever he puts in his mouth.

By:
LOL. Thats a classic quote.
By:
Patrick Mullins on ATR just there and said all was well with Quevega and couldnt understand why the big drift......Thats what he would say anyway and im sure the old fella would have told him not to say anything too drastic about it
By:
As usual you cant take the fact that you were wrong with good grace TGM
Trust me i would never go near Eddie's hole :) |
By:
was told that quevaga hasnt jumped a hurdle since last may ie hasnt even been schooled over a hurdle. wouldnt inspire confidence

I was amazed VlV was 4s for so long. Betfred went 4 places too.

i had this race down to 6 poss winners, i know for a fact one of the 6 will not be declared tomorrow morning.
emi, you might do some research and find out the last horse to win a hurdle or chase, at the festival defying a 296 day absence, ( joe cullen overcame a 9 month absence to win the bumper), it is a big ask for quevega in the circumstances and i think she failed to handle good ground at punchestown as a juvenile hurdler. quevega 2009 march version clearly repeat wins, plenty water under bridge since then. vdv does it stay?, and her absence is a big concern, she had problems between dec 2008 and the spring 2009, and flopped next time(last easter at fairyhouse)after that break, liable to happen again?. at 2m or 2m2 you would stick with her, at 2m4f not so sure. the one i wanted to be with is not now going to run, a mild upset is possible and locating a good ground stayer may solve the puzzle. easter legend might be the play( of course turning a blind eye to official figures). |

Keen - thanks for the heads up on For Bill today, only had a v small bet just incase! ;)
Am on VLV here at 7/2, other than Quevega who must have all sorts of doubts over her, this is a poor race, will look again at whats declared! I think VLV will stay, is a half sister to Hennessy, who stays 4miles. Think the last day the slow pace, and the fact she pulled didnt help her at all, yet she still won cosy. Stayed 18f at Punchestown no bother. |
By:
downallstar, yes she has a 3 mile pedigree, the subtle message i included in the first line about her should be heeded. we know that quevega and vdv are the best mares in the race at their peak, but will they turn up in full bloom on tuesday?.
just a point of note from a friend who walked the course today, the final hurdle on the old course is sited about 15 yards closer to the winning post compared to last year so a relative shortish run in for days 1 and 2 on the hurdles course. |

No voler???? :0

no hes just saying it flopped after her last brake. Jvole is out look at the betting
By:
ok 2+2=5 hopefully.
By:
no i hope VDV is out as i bet Quevega 13/8 with MM at 7/4!!!
By:
just to clarify, i did not say vdv was a non runner or anything of the sort.
the non runner is premier victory, a horse i thought could win the race with a nice recent run under her belt, working great, but heads to the albert bartlett on friday instead. |
By:
KEEN LEADER , THANKS WAS GOING BAC PREMIER VICTORY AN THINK THIS LIVELY OUTSIDER WEREVER IT TURNS UP
