The time-based ground on the rp was generally heavy, anyone there today with an opinion on the ground?
|
|
By:
Just reading a few trainers quotes and it was considered sticky ground. still need a soft ground horse imo.

2.55 - Morning Supreme-5th in de Chelt bumper-3rd in the Aintree equivalent, gonna be a very tough nut to crack - has won both her hurdle starts in impressive fashion- winning by 21l unextended lto 4.25 - nb Tooman Lane- has improved over fences and has won once and been placed 3 times in his last 5 runs- runs off a lower mark over hurdles, ground is nt an issue and must have very solid claims 5.25 Nap - Old Charm e/w worth another play for me here after slightly disappointing last time, has over 3l to make up on Acey from that run behind Shot From the Hip and Auracaria- travelled well that day and traded odds on i/r b4 being outpaced in the final furlong-hopefully the ground wil be slightly better tomorrow and that should help Navan 2.35 Nap- Marlay Park - unlucky 2 runs ago wen UR at the last hurdle at Navan- lto was given an awful lot to do behind Cadspeed-hopefully be given more of a chance tomorrow and should come home in front in this 4.05 -Brownpolish- won a mdh 2 runs ago beating Marlay Park and looked the winner all over last time out (traded 1.04 low i/r)b4 being swamped late on by Florimund-can gain compensation here 5.35 - nb Good Time Donie - a winning Pointer - has run in 2 maiden hurdles - and been placed twice 3rd behind Flat Out and Better Times and well clear of the fourth - and second lto wen trading at 1.1 i/r behind Misaala - into a bumper here must prove tough to beat |

sinndar, l'd say the inside tack will resemble a ploughed field tomorrow.

By:
anyone think the 3miles will bring even more out of kimberlite king tomorrow? he travels so well in his races, its his jumping thats his downfall but a slower pace may help him a bit

Observer, It's the chase track I'm more worried about. Happy enough to look for soft ground form myself. not quite spring ground yet. I'm sure we won't have to worry about going descriptions in the Curragh, rain due.

Couple of horses that Iv'e been following with mixed success run today at Navan.
4.35 Corskeagh Royale will appreciate the drop in trip and quicker ground. Deal Done for the forecast. 5.05 Colls Corner has been very consisten the last couple of months. Can see Johnny Allen riding him positively again and the 3m should play to his strengths. At Limerick Jack Absolute 3.55 put up a good effort LTO and is sure to be involved. |

have a good day all, last bet pre cheltenham for me is Glenquest, forgotten about after a super run in the PP when right in the mix three out but hit the fence hard and lost momentum. Hurdle run to keep ticking over recently, has his c/d win here and nicely weighted still, 25s a bit big to let go so playing e/w...
good luck all |

Norn I don't get a chance to do the Sunday's.
Sindarr. i was there yesterday. The ground was absolutley horrible gluey ground. I haven't had a chance to look at the cards but am heading to Limerick shortly. Noting the tips here as they are real good before I head off. I see Stony Grey Soil has been punted off the boards. 33's with laddies early doors. CD form. Ambrose a great up coming jockey. Can't see it out of the frame. The value is gone but the shrewdies are on. i got a text early doors that the price was drying up so took a little at fancy prices each way. |
|
By:
Soapp, i know the owners from Monaghan, put it like this, not afraid of a good punt, but if you look at the bumper it won, not a winner came out of it, Cant see Ruby beat myself, Last run better than anything else in race and will improve for it. Note the gamble has not moved the fav at all. Ikidunot is the only danger to fav

Stand out treble for me, Marley Park, Genlo Abbey and Morning supreme. By far have the best form in the race, and I go out on a limb and say Morning supreme may not come of bridle again, look back at Aintree form and chelt bumper form, For bill doesnt get near it. Genlo run to book thief is very solid and will surely improve frm Fairyhouse, fences await but should win this. Marley park run the last day should see him hose up in first, poor lot really and he should stay up the hilll best
for each way nap of the dayis jack Absolute, 3/3 on last 3 course visits, looks primed from last day for a bold show |

Was told a few days ago that a big run is expected from Ikidunot.

By:
Morning Supreme is a crazy price here.
|
|
By:
Obviously not!
|
|
By:
That was easy :0
|
|
By:
It just shows that the bumper at cheltenham last year was probably the best bumper ever run at the track. The amount of winners it has thrown up.

Uncanny the amount of WPM horses that improve for racing. Is there a problem with the gallops in his own place?
