First batch were sent out in the UK last Friday - got mine on Tuesday (after sending them an e-mail on Monday), if this is any help
They are usually quite prompt if you drop them an e-mail in my experience |

got stung last year, mine arrived the mon morning I was leaving for chelters, pi$sed off, as had seen the guide for sale over a week previously at a preview night... once bitten twice shy, didn't pre order this year

Got one free from PP`s this morning! Always enjoyed it but haven`t bothered buying it for several years. Never look a gift horse as they say. :D

The RP one is better imo. Covers the same race trends ground and also has the individual horse profiles. Plus plenty on trainers and essays by various 'experts' from the paper.
The Weatherbys guide has in the past had additional features on handicaps etc but nothing much this year beyond the usual meandering through the trends. The writer can be funny but he certainly couldn't be called a good writer. Maybe the RP version just seems fresher to me because I'm not so used to it (and it's got colour in it!). I don't think I'll be buying the Weatherbys book next time. |
