I wouldn't know the details but Mrs SnS, would it be highly unusual for a stallions first 4 mares not 2 be in foal,

It also seems all the comments have been removed from the post site

yeh, just noticed that.

If the comment has been pulled from RP.com then that does perhaps lend weight to the rumour. I have heard nothing personally

However I would urge people not to jump the gun here. It is not impossible for an averagely fertile stallion to not stop his first four mares. It is still early in the season, some may have been covered on foal heats, or be maidens, we cannot know. I would have expected Giltown to have covered test mares though, before feb 14th, to check fertility. I have known stallions take five weeks into the season before getting any mares in foal, nail-biting for those studs.

I am sure there will be plenty more mares scanned in the next few days, so we shall just have to wait and see. Coolmore will be avidly waiting I am sure
