Had to laugh at his commentary on Darcy's close miss. Called it as BOD live and in replay. The last replay showed .conclusively it was Darcy.
"and Darcy was up very quick"

its cruel listening to him and presuming his young fellow is listening to it, he is doing his old man no favours by leaving him in charge of a mic. His handling of the sin-binning of Healy and the forced substitution of Court in for Ferris was awful. Fred ...."and sad to see Ferris leaving the pitch having put so much into getting fit for this match - and O'Brien comes into the action" - wrong on all counts. When Ferris rejoined the action at the end of the sin-binning, Fred was a bit unsure what was going on, and when Court was back in later, he seemed totally confused. He had no handle on Paddy Wallace's multiple introductions into the game and totally missed Kearney leaving the pitch.

Applehunter

His voice is not the problem, he is just so inaccurate and at times doesn't seem to have an understanding of the laws of rugby. IMO his voice is quite good , diction and delivery are most professional.

i've no problem with him personally, but seems a bit silly to have a guy commentating on a game when he doesn;t know the players names or the rules

Too old for what....Leinster Senior Cup.

Watched a bit of Michaels vs Belvedere??? on Setanta.

Sounded fine.

Plus if I was a player in one of those games I would prefer to have Cogley commentating.

I was answering your particular question.

I still think he is a very good commentator and has a good voice for it. But that is just my personal preference.

Much prefer his voice compared to Jim Sherwin or that "tool" :) Ryan Nugent.
