Only now when it's too late people care.
For the last 10 years or more we had the " not on my doorstep syndrome".
Some nationalities ran riot, it's slowed down now as things are tight and all the benefits are almost gone to new arrivals.
Those that got in before 2005 are laughing, their kids born here all have Irish passports( born pre 2005). But sure when the good friday agreement was quoted in a Nigerian newspaper the floodgates opened " all people born in the island of Ireland are entitled to an Irish passport" took a fair few years for a referendum to stop this abuse.

i think the geneva agreement has a lot to answer for, this agreement was primarily to allow jews from the holocast be welcomed into most countrys and rightly so imo. but it has now has been abused to such an extent that its mostly economic refugees who benifit .
Unsurprisingly there weren't too many Jewish takers for 1949 Ireland
we dont have a greeat record with post holecaust jewish people and i think we have done our best to treat nigerians and other minorities well ...we have a guilty conscience and perhaps rightly so
