Unmanaged markets innit?? U leave ur bet u take ur chance imo
|
|

Possibly slickster . But cannot see any logic in their rules . If a market is suspended and one of the outcomes no longer exists , how can a bet be valid ? I always had the maxim "if you cant win , you cant lose " drummed into me . Maybe they dont subscribe to this maxim .

No BJG , the market was and is being managed as we type .

Apologies, not one of the unmanaged markets, dunno so

At kick-off, all unmatched bets, except for those selected to go in running, will be cancelled and the market will be turned In Running. The market will be suspended if it appears a goal has been scored, a penalty will be awarded or a player will be sent off. If a goal IS scored or a player IS sent off, all unmatched bets, except for those selected to go in running, will be cancelled and the market re-opened. Excluding these instances, unmatched bets will not be cancelled at any time.
Nt a clue wat happened so tbh |

The purple have fked up a lot over the past 18months pr wise, esp with the premium charge here, and this site crashing non stop, they should be doing everything they can to make it more attractive.

BJG , the bit you have in bold may go some way to answering some of the curious logic involved . According to that , an in running bet will never be taken down as I read it , even if a whole team is sent off .
Nobody in their right minds would bet having left an in running bet tick on their input bet given that sort of an interpretation of the basis of betting . The only reason I tick the in running bet is because sometimes the early minutes of a match indicate something different from the original betting . But in this case the odds tightened down befor the off , on both exchanges , 10.5 was the best available seconds after the kick off . I just forgot about the bets , knew they would not be laid ....!!! |

You have no idea how mad that purple site is trust me

Have to say that apart from the odds on Purple being slightly lower than here usually, I have never had a problem with them - site never went down during my using it.
Their multiples can be done across different sports and you get the odds quoted whereas here they are not guaranteed (I think) ,,, and I have found their customer service to be very friendly and efficient on the few occasions that I have had to use it ... The cash withdrawn is in your account in 48 hours ... also they are providing employment in Ireland and I support them for that reason whenever possible. |

No big problem before this with purple site , other than the aforementioned liquidity and generally less odds . Just think in this case there is something flawed --might be me , but somehow I think managed markets should have some in built values other than caveat emptor .

I use them for the 2% commish on 0.5 asians.

Their customer service is absolutely appalling. I complained on night and had a customer service tell a lie to me - claimed he had spoken to his manager. When I asked to speak to the manager he admitted he lied (amongst otherstuff). Got a free £50 bet out of them which I used and haven't used since.
Their poker site is the worst - it is a turkey shoot with all in on every level; Their prices are generally worse than here; In-play trading is crap; Number of markets is lower. Such a lost opportunity given what has gone on here. |

As someone who has worked in exchange land, i always found it remarkable how little the purple did to try to capitalize on some of the decsions bf have taken over the years.
Right or wrong, these presented an opportunity to grow market share for the purple off the back of bf decisions that were, let's face it, controvertial. Hard to know what motivated their apathy to the situation. My own conclusion was that they really didn't have absolute belief in their own product - just my view though. We all remember that viral video...classic head in hands moment. |

Off topic but does anybody know whether the Purple haver signed a Memo Of Understanding with either the English or Irish racing authorities.

No idea observirl .
Update on feedback from purple : looks like its my fault I did not read their rules ( but honestly who does ?) . Their market should be treated though same as our cricket markets are , eg to score 50 , as soon as that happens the market is suspended for the event which can or cannot happen . Say they will review it , but I have done my £40 , thank goodness it did not happen to a similar bet I put in last week for £100 . Only consolation for me is a reduction in commission which will cover Cheltenham among others . Hopefully that will get me back my money sooner than later . C'est la vie ! Hopefully none of you will get caught out similarly . Cheers . |
