One of the greats of Kerry football has decided to retire today at the age of 34. I know there are many on here who have a chip on their shoulders when it comes to anything concerning Kerry football, but i hope that they can find it in their own hearts and minds to put aside their begrudging feelings and acknowledge that Dara was truely one of the greats of the game.
Thank you Dara for your exhibitions of excellent football down the years, happy retirement, you deserve it.

Oh absololutly by no means a Kerry fan but he is the outstanding midfielder of the last 10 years and will be hard to replace even by Kerry's standards.

His high fielding an around game will be missed. Gave his life to the sport.

Could take another generation to see his likes again

A living legend, however 3rd best footballer in his family two classier footballers ahead of him. On a negative side his second half performance in Armaghs All Ireland was poor.

Great player over the years sad that he is hanging up his fists sorry boots! Only joking cant see many others lasting so long in inter-county esp in such a demanding position. Happy retirement.
