Ed walsh makes a good point...anyone who's unable to get a job after 3 months should like australia be made go on a local road cleaning, litter etc, paint signs......unless thats interfering with human rights??

A married couple with two children get 35K in Dole , rent allow,Medical Card etc........What does my Dear traveller married with ten Kids get??65K???.....why is anyone working considering the benefits available??

btw-i do a bit of work with SVDP and we are knocking back plenty of people simply because we dont have the funds so we have to cut back.

The SVDP need to be seen to be weeding out the chancers to keep the public supporting them.

the money was there before,it aint now so they are more strict.

The SVDP is supposed to put people on the right track in terms of managing their finances. Teaching people how to fish, not handing them a packet of fish fingers.

around our way...travellers attack anyone that goes to svdp so that they get everything!!...even the SVDP volunteers are resigning now as they are so afraid of the Knnackers....

badger I heard a rumour that some of the people would not take toys for the kids last christmas 2008 they wanted cash and svdp had to store the boxes of toys until this year 2009

not true for for my area although could have happened elsewhere but i didnt hear
