Race 1) Cappellanus. 2nd to Secant Star, who has lofty ambitions, over this CD on Thyestes day should go close.
Race 2) No Selection. Norn Iron or BJG or the men in form. Race 3) Noble Prince. (Nap) I have to agree with BJG. Alain Cawley went far too soon over the xmas period when 3rd to Powerstation. The Shark in his Indo column today says Luska Lad will win. Race 4) Siegemaster. (NB) This gelding ran a super race in the Thyestes under a big weight. He was right there to the turn in and this half mile trip is sure to suit. Race 5) Borolee. A most consistent sort. Just touched off over the CD on Thyestes day he is sure to run his race off a 6lb higher mark. Race 6) P'tit Fute. (E/W) A chance is taken on the fitness of this Galway specialist. His class is sure to make him a sound e/w chance. Race 7) Primroseandblue. The Mullins clan always target this bumper as it is one of the last chances to qualify for the Cheltenham bumper. 4th in the Landrover bumper prior to an odds on defeat in Ballinrobe should be good enough here. The Shark in his Indo column today says this mare is very promising. He also had word of Barry Connell who is rding out again and has a winner lined up for him on Ml Purcell day in Thurles. |

Very trappy Red Mills Hurdle.

Jumbo Rio & J'y Vole double. Willie thinks J'y Vole is well in while I thought Quevega would have won the hurdle if she was declared!

Siegemaster is very classy and would will be my NAP tomorrow.
I have a a strange attraction for classy calamity chasers recently. And on that note, I will give Chasing Cars a chance of redemption in the Beginners chase... :) Sucker for punishement. |

Chasing Cars would be better off chasing cars than jumping fences.

135 Loch Long might improve a lot here....he was better ridden prominently on the flat and has the size and scope to be a decent hurdler....look for him to be ridden more agressively this time.
Capellanus has the form in the book and can improve too...but will probably be priced accordingly...he has obvious chances if repeating his initial run over hurdles. Point of Light has the ability to be a good hurdler ....just a question of how sharp he'll be on his first run. Save My Blushes and Morning Time have decent enough form and would have place chances. 205 Little Barney was outclassed last time out against Enterprise Park but the second and third have boosted that form and this Naas maiden hurdle winner could go close here off a reasonable mark. Ballyvoile's form has been boosted by the impressive win of Mr.Clyde this week...it's possible that Mr.Clyde didn't stay that day and Ballyvoile could be one to take on here. Binocular has really taken to hurdles and his trainer has a good line on these through Mr.Clyde. He could be the biggest threat to Little Barney. |

Is Muirhead maybe better right-handed? Might he reproduce his Morgiana run then and make it very difficult for Jumbo Rio to give him 7lbs?
|
|
By:
Nuvelli has been disappointing of late but if he comes back to anywhere near his best form he should go well. I will be taking some of the 20/1 E/W. Any money for this one should be noted.

race 1 capellanus looks superior to these 2 ponts win
race 2 litte barneys form is working out well 1 point e/w race 3 big fan of jumbo rio but 7lb weight concession difficult pass race 4 siegemaster in great form jumps well and stays well 2 point win race 5 prudent honour well treated but inexpierenced jockey a worry turtle time lucky worth a each bet 1 point each way race 6 chasing cars hard to beat but will try wickham street each way 1 point each way race 7 poor contest so primoseandblue looks a winner (nap) 3 point win happy punting |

Brilliant Gotchee.
FWIW, I think Davy Russell nicked the Red Mills at the start taking 4 lengths on Jumbo Rio and 10 lengths out of Noble Prince. |
