payed my 1st visit there in 3 yrs today ,that day it took 1 1/2 hrs to get out of the carpark , today i decided to take my daughter along ,we arrived about an hour before the first .as the carpark only had about 6 cars in it i parked on the edge just off the road,or should i say gravel pit .as we left the car and entered via the golf course we were called back by one of the car park attentents and i was told i could not park there and would have to park my car alongside the other six , i kid you not ,the carpark hold hundreds of cars . but these lads decided that it was imperitive that i park were they said ,even though i told them i would be leaving before the 2nd last .my daughters words were dad what a crumpy bunch of men .in these times of recession and racing looking to encourge new blood into racing you have the likes of these clowns unable to use one ounce of common sence .so before racing you have one disgruntled punter and one young lady who is flabbergasted by the silly actions of socalled grown ups .lo and behold when we came out yes you've guessed it someone had parked in my original spot .so gowran have lost one oldie and a potential newcomer .well done gowran park .

It can be difficult to get out of the car park on busy days but given the location on the main Dublin road there is little they can do about that. When the new motorway is finished shortly it should divert a lot of the traffic away from the course and make things a lot easier.

Did you not enjoy your day aside from the parking issues WR. I always find Gowran NH meetings to be very enjoyable

can't really see why your complaining what makes you so special that you couldn't park along side the other six cars and the fact that you were leaving before the second last would surely mean you wouldn't have a problem wit traffic, p.s what do parking staff who are only just doing their job have to do with the big 'R'. Get over yourself

Agree with Montablo.

They have a job to do. You meet obnoxious individuals in all walks of life, to say you wont be going back there is fine, that's your beef, seems silly to me though.

Bet if you backed 3 or 4 winners today you wouldn't be coming on here moaning about it.I can see where you are coming from though. It's not as if your car was going to upset their parking arrangements that they probably had to go through weeks of training to get right.
