My family came from this area around 1857 to England found details on census records, but just wondered if Deakin is common name in the area.

Not common in Kildare. None in the phonebook. Only 5 in Dublin.

Willie Deakin used to be a bookie.Think he is from Wexford or Wicklow.

You can serach the 1911 census for Deakins - only appears to be one family in Kildare in 1911 - though it might indicate the area the area where other Deakins in Kildare were. Searching Irish ancestery is very much location based, |

Hey you lot ...thanks for that, I come from Sheffield where there was alot of Deakins ended up ....played Footy for the Oldest Club in the world SHEFFIELD FC played at the OLD Wembley,hunted with the Middleton Hunt bred my own hunters....and lol did kick with both feet pens free kicks corners how many footballers knowadays can do that?.......
But anyway I moved to Brasil June 2009 after meeting a beautiful Brasilian woman would you believe in Scarbrough Feb 2008,now live in a lovely city of Guarapuava, Parana State, Brasil. Deako Guarapuava Brasil. Do I support Brasil or England in the World Cup????????? |
