Why would anybody want DNR at one of these? Does everyone not remember the interviews after he rode Tiger Cry to win the Grand Annual? He basically said that he had thought it was his best chance at the meeting and it took a big effort not to mention him at any of the Cheltenham preview nights he did. Scandelous behavour.

In fairness to Davy he is very good value for money at these things. He may not give anything away but he will keep you entertained

I pay €96 a month for Sky Sports and Sky Movies to be entertained!

Now I'm not expecting special inside info or anything at these Preview evenings but if all you're getting is lies and smoke and mirrors then you'd be better off donating the €20 to the IJF and stay at home studying the formbook.

The best guests at these things are the ones with an opinion

The people like AP O'Brien who hum and haw over every horse are fecking useless.

russell is a cowboy, wouldnt trust him as far as i could throw him. his columns in the star each week are just as bad. his best chance gets smashed while a ride he doesn't mention will hack up

nice venue Westmanstown although free grub might attract the wrong types!!

evan williams is a shrewd guy and will give a good insight to the uk form. Was at one in cardiff last year and he gave two good winners including american trilogy of paul nicholls. seems to know whats going on in that yard.

looks a good line up with both english and irish racing knowledge, but donn mc Lean's opinion will be worth a listen and with WPM on the phone we might get the word on his best chances.

I'll be there!

Saw a poster for this event in Paddys in Tallaght. I was talking to young Paddy and he reckons its going to be the best preview this year. Some magnificent raffle prizes including a day trip to the gold cup and a week for two all expenses paid coach tour to the festival. They seem to have put a lot of effort in to this at Westmanstown. They are providing free finger food and bus transport. It will have my support anyhow.

Davy Russell said last year that Paddytheplasterer hadnt a hope in hell of winning the arkle and put me right off. I was disgusted when he won.

Is that Ger Lyons the 'trainer' looking out for free finger food?
By:
SIR KEN
When: 08 Feb 10 21:57
I thought ger lyons was a flat trainer. What would he know about jumpers? Where is Westmanstown? I'd go if I knew how to get there, but don't tell me if it's on the northside!

about 2 miles from Blanchardstown centre

I'm afraid it is on the northside Sir. It's between Clonsilla and Lucan. Have had a couple of rounds of golf there and have watched the Irish international team train there. It really is an impressive place and well worth a visit.

Does anybody know where those buses are departing from?
By:

I asked Paddy that and he said there would be one from town, crumlin and Blanchardstown. He said he would get me a taxi home to Trim. Fair play to Paddy - another unbeatable offer!
