I think he means the 4yo p2p's which start this weekend. I will be heading to Belharbour this weekend, normally a decent meeting. Some of the entries look fairly interesting. Amongst the gigginstown entries is a full brother to kicking king trained by pat doyle. Eddie Hales definite article thats entered over the country could be anything, his runners are normally ready fto. It's hard to be too bullish bout them til you see them in the ring though.

Anything catch your eye?

See u there Duck. PMJ Doyle won the last 2 runnings of the 4yo here and on breeding his 1/2 bro looks the the obvious one
The confined looks interesting with the Taxi driver setting the form standard with an interesting newcomer Clear Blue Sky a 1/2 brother to King Johns castle one to note
The 5yo is hard to figure witha couple of gigginstown newcomers catching the eye and maybe Clarehills Hero the best of those with form
A couple catch my eye in the 6yo.Manucho had a couple of decent runs in November and december 08. It was off a year til it pulled up last time out in November. certainly one to look at in the parade ring. Harry Percy was well backed in Kilfeacle before falling at halfway
I like Clogher cailin in the mares. Travelled well until getting milled 3 out in Stradbally in May. If looking ready she'll be the one for me

Quaddick Lake had Gonebeyondrecall (unlucky inrunning) and Seabass behind him that day he won his maiden. Looked a very strong race at the time and got stuck into Glynns on his next start in the Landrover Bumper. Those were the days!!

Good day had by all in belharbour

Pmj Doyle won the 4yo maiden for the 3rd year running with False Witness(1/2) winning snugly in a 5 runner race ridden by DOC

The Taxi Driver(4/6) won the Confined convincingly and Shan Blue(10-5) won the 5yo

The mares was won by Clogher cailin (5/1) who led 3 out and had the favourite Domestic Dispute (1/1) and chrisdon Lady (5/1) beaten when they both fell at the last

The 6yo was won by Shantalla (2-5/4) and the WINNERS OF 1 was won by Gigginstown's Sea of thunder (5/4-4/5) who provided DOC with his fourth winner of the afternoon.

Perfect February weather , decent ground , good racing,

LOVE IT

Bit of a slow start to the day as the 4yo wasn't much of a race but the action picked up then. The 3rd horse in the 4yo evoked plenty of debate but how good he is remains to be seen. Local man Michael McDonagh was rewarded for his recent purchase of The Taxi Driver as he won the local pretty easily following the departure of main rival Minor Rumus down the back. The 5yo contest saw two decent as Shan Blue (thankfully!!) held in from the costelloe debutant Maringa Bay to land a punt for his shrewd connections. Jumped superbly for first timer and that made the difference. The 6yo maiden provided Derek with his 3rd winner on Shantalla for the formerly successful amateur Brian Hassett, beating the dissapointing Another Flutter by two lengths. Pat Doyle had his second winner of the day with Sea of Thunder in the winners, bringing up a 4 timer for king Derek at a rather generous looking 5/4. This half brother to Macs Joy never looked in danger and looks of interest as a future park winner. Clogher Cailin gained a deserved win in a competitve mares maiden to make up for some misfortune in Stradbally last year. Her jumping proved decisive in the end (and sent us home happy after taking the 4's w/o the fav!!)

A respectable crown turned for what is always an interesting meeting and was run on lovely ground for this time of year. Local fav Derek O' Connor was again the star of the show and looks well on his way to another championship with his main stables starting to send out the winners from now on.
