DOWN ROYAL has been given the green light for Wednesday's meeting to take place, although racing has been delayed by 25 minutes. Officials have been monitoring the forecast all morning with the threat of snow causing concern. However, shortly after 11am a decision to let racing go-ahead was made. Cliff Noone, Turf Club press officer, said: "We have had a threat of snow all morning and it started to sleet at one stage. That soon turned to rain and it is still raining now. "The first race has been delayed by 25 minutes just to give everyone who may have been hanging on the chance of getting to the course and the meeting will now commence at 1.30 pm. The ground at Down Royal remains heavy, soft to heavy in places. |

Really keen on Rock County in the 1.35 - was keen on it lto too, ran well then and woulda been a lot closer if he had jumped the last better!

Strange enough run from Rock County, maybe still of interest if dropped to 2m. Slippers Percy a bit unlucky racing was called off Saturday when he would have been 4lbs better off in a poorer race. |
