Are you a winning customer with that particular shop?
|
|
By:
Doubt there is much in it, same shop lid me 6 monkeys an ante post horse at Cheltenham that is 1/10 to start 2 or more points shorter on the day, so makes no sense at all.

Win only - Sp only,i agree totally with you in that H1lls are an absolute disgrace online,on the fones and in the shops. However i know know you also work for a firm (PP i think) who offer me SP only in the shops im known in and on occasions in certain shops i have been told they just dont want my business at all,end of.
H1lls are a disgrace and so are PP. |

Observer...He must alright.
He jumps on me every time I complain about low prices..... and then tells us all VALUE is everything in betting, so attacks me when I say VALUE is only a marketing concept thought up by bookies to get you to back something else other than the good thing in a race. PP lad would be odds on in my book. Must be weird to work for a company and too be ashamed of it. If I worked for a company I be proud of it whether its a betting company or not :0 . |

i'll have fries and big mac please bless

KEV....He wouldn't be able for that. That would mean he have to tell people" have a nice day" No defintely the pps trading room would suit him better. :^0

He doesnt work out here in Tallaght.

Hammy...Is Julio Julio I think it was still with you? He was great and proud to be a pp man. No cr@p with him. He knew his stuff when he spoke on any thing like Irish Soccer and Cycling and was always worth a listen.
Another guy who was proud to work where he did was the V-c guy. He always presented his case well and wasn't pushed whether you agreed with his firms views or not. Only problem can't remember his name on here anymore. Which means I probably miss some of his opinions. :( Yet some guys on here freak out when somebody discovers they work for a certain firm. I suppose it means people know then, like Win Only Sp who they are, when they have a go at their rivals...Cheers |

Hills I found OK until they closed my account , outside of the "guaranteed winning " sub sites other than sport .
Suspect I won a fair bit off them as they seldom knocked me back in the good old days when they would still have been classified as bookies rather than the bean counters they appear to have become . On the odd occasion I visit one of their shops locally I find they will lay a horse to lose a monkey without too much hassle , but I have no "form " in their shops as it requires a journey to get there , relatively speaking . But I suspect it would be different if they saw you every day , just like the rest of them . |
|
By:
just wait till you have the unpleasant experience of being allocated a number in their shops kelly! ur well fecked then, usually long wait while a member of staff contacts head office (who are always busy for some reason) then you get offered a pony at the price.thankfully i have other avenues to avail of their irish prices as whoever they have doing them is utterly clueless.

William Hill ARE in the business to make money.
So if they don't LIKE you, tough luck. I FULLY agree with them. Its all about making MONEY. There are enough mugs around to feed them. So fair play to them IMO. |
|
By:
Have not had that experience Jason . Probably never will , none of them want to lay "live ones ". But that is what bookmaking used to be about , not now . The bean counters are in charge , but sadly for the shareholders in most of the big High Street bookies , its not working . Just check the share prices .

apologies for the late reply- I apologise to Hills and the employees of the firm, they are competely correct to reduce a cash bet to peanuts.
Blessington, to answer you. I "jump" on your threads as you are without doubt the most clueless person who posts on this forum, your arguments on on-course percentages are without doubt some of the most laughable things I have ever read. Email me at perpetual62@hot*ail.com and I will lay private, such am I convinced you are so clueless. CrouchingTiger, I far from had the race "by the b0llox" and was lucky to get out, my selection like a dog. |
