Yes. Just seemed a strange purchase given his bumper ammunition

I doubt they were just thinking about the cheltenham bumper with him given his pedigree

Forty foot tom will be 10/1 if he runs in a bumper next time out.He isnt worth a fraction of what they gave for him.

Have to be honest 240k was a massive price for the vendor to get. Miley himself admitted he was shocked when it won the way it did. The 2nd has been beaten in a bad english bumper. Some oppurtunity for Culloty though. Where does it say that he got him?

So if its next run is either in the Cheltenham or Punchestown bumpers it will start less than 10/1,is that what you are saying?

cooldine looking at him at navan there is some improvement in him
but pedigree suggests that his form will regress from a promising first run.

Hey calling card i dont know anything about his pedigree, but the ground was bottomless,he was 25/1 and obviously unfancied, the favourite was so sick after the race that it may never be seen again, and the placed horses are worthless. All in all he loked a shocking buy as did the sales topper who struggled home in a 2 and a half mile bumper against 2 horses who arent worth 40 grand between them.

Given the time of his bumper win was faster than the time Dunguib posted over 2 miles in heavy ground at Navan in Dec 08 your analysis might prove to be a bit rash to say the least.

Cooldine is clearly a student of the form book. Time is only relevant when you are in jail. I couldn't believe that the McKiernan horse made so much but I suppose there is no greater feeling than watching wylie bid for your horse.

cooldine ur lack of pedigree knowldge amazes me i always assumed u knew everything
people looking for cheltenham horses are prepared to pay anything
cast your mind back to perce rock and some of eddie hales 4yp winners who amounted to vey little
even ur owner bought mad fish after he beat stewarts house in p2p
leaving that aside i would say the lads who have forty foot toms full brother are quare sick after his run last week in thurles i would say their sorry that they ever broke him
maybe the two behind him at leop are moderate but if u freeze the race 2f out he lookd awesome maybe something happened in the last furlong that wasnt made public and maybe thats why a stable known as buyers were keen to sell ?

I don't think Not Before Eight is useless and if he's anything like his half bro he'll be much better with time.
