The price for Monbeg Dude is some laugh. If he made half that I would be suprised
By:
its on the website maybe a misprint. i thought the same
if its true some profit on for the lads who own him the maiden in nenagh had a few other interesting runners |
By:
I was there in Nenagh last week and wasn't all that taken with him. Add in his sire and 120k sounds a mental price. Colin Bowe ran another one in it that barry o'neill rode which would suggest that he was showing more at home. That lad ran well pretty well for a long way and pulled up. I'd say what was left fighting out the finish wasn't great.

was there too a rare excursion i might add
thought the american bred who finished 2nd had potential |
By:
Yeah he ran ok. Denis Cullen wouldn't have him 100% fto either. Dun Doire was the star of the show. Looked a million dollars and won like he should. Looks to have a realistic chance in the foxhunters

Allduck I herad Mick Winters is sending Rule Supreme for Foxhunters have you heard anything about that. If he hel half of his ability he would** in

Can't see Rule Supreme running well in the foxhunters at this stage tbh. He looks too onepaced in his races at this stage
By:
Some Target very workmanlike today.
Does anyone know has willie got many bumper horses to come out yet for Chel. I really like Elegant Concorde..? |
By:
Monbeg Dude made 12 grand Calling Card.Still you were never to bad with the hyperbole were you.Whats an extra zero between friends and all that.
By:
Your snide remark cooldine is somewhat misplaced since monbeg dudes price was put up at 120,000 on the racing post website after the sale
By:
Did he make 12 or 120 so Mr knowitall.Who is right,me or him?

http://www.brightwells.com/Equine/Bloodstock/Cheltenham/Catalogue.aspx
By:
He obviously made 12 grand but CC's mistake is easily understood
By:
cheers allduck i was just as astounded as you at the 120k
he looks value at 12k even if he lacks scope cooldine what did u value him at? |
By:
12 grand
By:
so u bought him did u ? whos the lucky trainer
By:
Didnt buy him,i was bidding in euros, didnt realise i was in Cheltenham. If the euro was stronger id have bought every horse in the place,i bid 250 for on his own but with the exchange rate i got goosed again.
By:
250 EUROS I WOULD SAY
we would all like to have horses to make that type of loot cooldine dont be so negative its great for the industry and owners like me that there are people willing to give large amounts of money for relatively unproven stock long may it continue i said monbeg dude make 120k based on the brightwells website so it wasnt my mistake. if u were in cheltenham u would have corected my error before today . try be positive and stop posting negative sh1t |
