Its spelt Osborne WR.
Thats very interesting news WR. Who will take over at Kildangon. Looking forward to my day down at Gilltown tomorrow to see Sea The Stars. About 60 of us heading there and then on to Punchestown to sample some of Dick O'sullivan's hospitality if its on! The stud visit is on regardless. Should be a good day. I heard he was on Saturday Sport between 2 and 4 today. They said they had a record number of texts coming in during the programme. He must have stirred the imagination. I was watching Channel 4 racing so don't know what was said. |

WR, Soap was gone so I had to put in the extra p.
Had a woeful day down there. Couldn't do anything right. Just caught Ruby on Seabass at 6/4. Also got a few shillings out of The Kings Sword at Limerick. That Gilltown is some impressive place. Pat Downes did the running commentary for us. 3 Stallions shown to us. 1) Azamour. 9 yr old now. 1st crop are now 3 yr olds. 11 2 yr old winners from 44 runners. Satisfactory. He said the 3 yr olds will have to hit the ground running as breeders tend to be impatient and discard them quick. Feedback is that the 3 yr olds are showing a lot of promise. He said he thought the Irish 2000 Guineas got away as Bachelor Duke came late and fast not giving him a chance to fight back. Tommy Kinane who was there too reckoned he would have won a Derby if given the chance. They weren't sure of his stamina. However he proved it in the King George later on. 2) Dalakhani. Amazing how Grey this has gone. Nearly White. 3 crops to race. Conduit among them. He reckoned he should have won the Irish Derby. It was Soumillion's first visit to the Curragh. O'Brien had a rake of runners. Soumillion didn't know what to follow. Johnny was smiling as he came home alone on Alamshar. 3) Sea The Stars. Looked a magnificient specimen. Has over a 100 Grade 1 black type mares booked in. The last time I remember such excitement was when Sadlers Wells went to stud. Finally after about three quarters of an hour we got a great feed. Sausages Rolls, Croissaants, and Tea/Coffee. Brian Kavanagh made a presentation to the Gilltown team on behalf of our group. Addendum. I Don't ring in Lucky 15's. So rang me pal to put it on for me a 1 Lucky 15. Just got the one winner Restless Harry (7/2) So went to pay him 3 50. He went to collect and was surprised to collect 15. So four times odds for one winner. Nice sale in Laddies :) |
