Chap from thurles bought him for riding in open pts..trained by pat doyle was placed first time out and got injuried on secound run..got a leg I think, retired now.

NICE to see someone who knows his stuff tocky,i know the horse well got heat in his leg after running on firm ground in kilsheelan Mr Gerry spain whos family own chemist in thurles had the pleasure of riding this truly great animal whose true worth was never shown ,dont rule him out yet still young enough in open light weight terms .

I saw a replay of his run in Kilsheehan. A more vigorous ride and he would have went very close indeed. The ground that day was dangerous though. Pity he has paid the consequences for it. Hopefully he gets back at some stage.

Another old timer broke his leg in tat race too driveon. Cant remember him the top of my head but I think the ground played a part in it anyway. No fear of quick ground now anyway!!
