1.10 Frank Conroy Memorial Maiden Hurdle 2m.

Weld's Rite Of Passage (by Giant's Causeway) is an obvious choice BUT with a few french imports in the field including Meade's Fully Funded & Elliott's Grey Soldier (just in front of O'Grady's Guzzle An Go Lto in the 4-y-o Maiden Hurdle at Xmas meeting in Leopardstown) the one we like alot is O'Grady's Giant's Causeway Suffren who was 2nd in a Group 2 in Longchamp (fav was 4th that day - has won twice since)

Probable SP 4/5 Rite Of Passage, 6/1 Grey Soldier, 8/1 Mountain Pride, 12/1 Nakajima Nate, 14/1 Fully Funded, Jaffonnien, 16/1 Andre Mon Ami, Tian Shan, Suffren, 20/1 Vardas Partner, Double Eagle, 25/1 Tijuana Dancer, Rekaab, 33/1 Redzer Gazgoff, Rayhani, 50/1 Atlas Peak.

Did Ruby have the choice or does he have to ride for mullins. He'd have rode Cooldine at xmas.

If he had the choice he must think a hell of a lot of Sports Line. Just watched Take the Breeze and he was fair good.

3.20 Synergy Security Solutions Novice Hurdle

montablo 23 Jan 19:25 hollo ladies won a race which worked out very strangely with the favorite Some Present and second favorite Sweeps Hill running shockers (Judge Roy Bean fell) with both being virtually pulled up so i wouldn't read too much into this ones form

The Grade 3 hurdle winner Quel Esprit's November maiden hurdle win in Punchestown had Harrington's Hugo De Vindecy in 2nd (won since and then 3rd to Enterprise Park in a Grade 3 in Limerick) with Rick back in 3rd (won the opening maiden hurdle in Leopardstown today from Skorcher). I'll put Judge Roy Bean (with McCoy on deck) back in second for the forecast.

Probable SP 4/6 Quel Esprit, 9/2 Judge Roy Bean, 5/1 Hollo Ladies, 10/1 Coole River, 12/1 American Job, 16/1 Seven Days, 20/1 Quiamo Malta, 25/1 Where's The Dosh.

1.10 - the hurdles debut of Rite of Passage, should win this but at
the likely prices id be willing to have a bit e/w on Jaffonien e/w, prob needed the run lto wen fading very quickly under pressure
travelled well for most of the journey though and hopefully that run
has brought him on! Should nt bee good enough to beat ROP really though

1.45 - Like Sports Line here with the ground on the heavy
side - has nt been out of the 1st 2 in 6 runs and was a good winner on his chase debut

2.15 - Show Blessed was a good winner lto and can follow up
in this tight affair

2.45 - Solwhit has won 5 out of his last 6 races including 4
G1's and can take this on route to Cheltenham- Biggest danger is last years CH runner up Celestial Halo but it was disappointing he
could nt win lto

3.20 - Hollo Ladies was a surprise winner of the
paddypowerpoker.com Future Champions Novice Hurdle last time beating some decent sorts but will have its work cut out to beat Quel Espirt who looked a horse to follow lto @ Cork and who's
only defeat came in the Champion bumper @ Chelt

3.50 - Monaco Springs a winner at Limk lto beating the flying
dustman (who won nto) has only 9st 3lbs on his back here and must have a big e/w shout

4.20 - Gormanstown Cuckoo can beat the Weld newcomer

2.15 Foxrock H´cap chase (Grade C) (Rated 0-140) 2m.1f.

Kings Advocate was 5th of 15 ONLY 5.75L behind Show Blessed Lto (and this was after returning from an 11 months break) and may have come on enough from that run to turn the tide in his favour here.
Having watched the re-run of that Leopardstown race it is noted that Show Blessed was well backed (Morning price: 6/1 9/2 4/1) (Opened 9/2 5/1) SP 4/1fav and won it well even after a bad mistake 3 out.
He will always have the beating of Jaamid imho, who is in the typical Meade 'all show - no go' mode.
Dooneys Gate's price is reflective of the connections we presume (Mullins/Walsh) although he was backed in the Paddy Power Chase (Grade B) on day2 of the Xmas Leopardstown meeting (Morning price: 8/1) (Opened 13/2) SP 4/1fav yet could only manage 12th.

Probable SP 11/4 Show Blessed, 4/1 Jaamid, 11/2 Dooneys Gate, 7/1 Arkendale, 8/1 Kings Advocate, 10/1 Darby's Turn, Turtle Time Lucky, 12/1 Port La Chaine, 16/1 Tiger Cry, 20/1 Clew Bay Lodge.

Sj have a great tip. Really think Quel Esprit is one of the best racehorses in the country and would recommend lumping on him to pay for your trip. If hes too short for you id back him to win his Cheltenham target before tomorrow.

When: 23 Jan 10 22:57
ogrady/wilmott horse in first is interesting. plenty in yard to work off so if well back it could be very interesting. group 2 form also. Bet of the day is a solwhit quel double, both will have to be below par to lose.

Watch Quel Esprits win at Cork last time out, rarely seen a hurdler jump so well.

Anyone have a view on Gormanstown Cuckoo? I thought he carried his head high and didnt put it all in at Navan last time out. The 3rd and 4th have done nothing for the form and he looks opposable as a 2nd fav.

1.10 Think Grey Soldier a good e.w. bet at 9/2 . Unlikely to be out of the 1st 3 and if the fav. slips up should win .
2.45 Think Celestial Halo may be able to run the finish out of Solwhit .
3.20 Quel Esprit very short but looks the real deal.

Think I'll stick to watching only today, am in poor form and all the good ones are very short.
Sit back and hopefully watch a few bits of green appear in my Chelt AP book.

go native really is a solid chelt bet, i know newcastle race was slow but even so, solwhit has plently to find with go native and and go native has the toe that none of there have, granted on decent ground.

hopefully Noel can land the million
