Anyone think this was a substandard Arkle...you'd a 137 rated second favourite and a bad jumper in Zarrito 3's.... this is not form i'll be following too closley.... still am adamant that Sizing is our best chance...clearly CCB form was enhanced today with An Cathoir mor, however, i'm not convinced he'll be battled hardened for the demands of the Arkle having missed so much time off

Norn, are you back on the Booze or something??? Cousin Vinny has no chance... he's a very bad jumper and that won't improve.... he fell at snails pace over hurdles in Leop, jumped deplorable in Navan and will be aimed at the RSA in any event.
Another negative for CCB would be McCoy on board. Even yesterday Take the Breeze didn't jump well for him.... I would prefer to see Fehily, BJG, Ruby or even Paddy Flood rather than McCoy...Dreadful grade 1 strike rate...he's good on bad horses and bad on good horses. Sizing won the Buck House over 2 mile 2, has come up the hill before and barring injury during the champion hurdle would have won doing handsprings... For he has has all the attributes for an Arkle winner, jumps impeccable, stays, high cruising speed and class !!!! |
