why not try again with all weather jumps
use tapeta surfaces- there were loads of injuries first time round but its a better surface now
maybe they could have a turf strip on the landing side of the hurlde and then back on to all weather. tapeta or pro ride will act as closest to turf and give best cushion
wetherby should go for it, in ireland we could have a track like limerick or tipperary to convert over- any track really close to a major airport. in times like these they would be invaluable and in other times could offer a quality racing schedule on a reliant surface
off course there will be those who oppose it at every turn but we should always have open minds to new stuff like this

but that was about 17 years ago on a different type of fibresand
this is every year now we lose a load of meeting and its about time they started thinking outside the box im sure i read michael dickinson claim his surface would be safe for jump racing- yes he's a vested interest but these animals train on this surface on the gallops, so why not pop over a few hurldes |

Agree I must surely be possible, def for hurdles, would be concerned about AW chasing tbh.

Last time the hurdles were too small and the surface too fast, hence the injuries/fatalities.
No reason why take off and landing areas can't be grassed and protected from frost and snow by the blow up type covers. |

Even under soil heating for the grassed take off & landing areas.

so you are suggesting a fibresand hurdles course with some grass heated by undersoil heating at the landing side of the hurdle. HRI ring this man immediately
