Anyone see this on rte. Came across as very honest. Although dont really rate him he showed some courage to win the world title. Deserved a few easier defences and should have got them. Like to see him come back and win another world title.

Didn't see it, but he does seem to be a good lad.
He is good technical boxer, just has no chin, agree they should have got him a few easy one's first.
Has come back from one bad KO, hopefully he can get another crack at it.

Totally agree. Know a few people who have meet him and say the same. The fight where he one the world title was unreal. How he got out of round five i dont know. Even the fight he lost the world title he was still throwing where most fighters would have gone with the first shot. Just was unlucky to have to take that fight so soon after winning the world title. He needed a few easy fights after that war.

Good thread. A really nice fella imo shame about the lack of power. Pro game always finds it out.

Needs a better coach or someone who can keep from trying to brawl with the likes of Martinez and Punch-or-what.

Should target the european belt before a return to the world stage, I think he'd do well against Munroe.

?! Thats news to me.
I was in a fantasy football league with him last year, through mutual friends, and he came across as arrogant and mouthy.

that what i thought too ^^ and as for him coming across arrogant and mouthy in a fantasy football league with his mates you can hardly use that as to what type of charchter he is. Would you not wind up your mates if you where stuffing them in a fantasy football league, i know i would (its all just a bit of fun really, ain't it?)

Well from the program he came across very well. From what i know he's a decent skin. Compare him to amir khan who i think is a sham. Khan is as mouthy as they get. Very little talent and no chin.

How can you say Khan has very little talent?? He won an Olympic silver medal at 17. He has very good boxing skills, great handspeed and has power.
He does however have a dodgy chin and does not have great punch resistance, but he has huge talent.
I do think he comes agross as a t0sser however

I imagine Bernard would gladly sacrifice his decent skinmanship for Khan's talent, power and world title
